La presente invención describe un sistema para el lavado de partes mecánicas contaminadas con hidrocarburos, el cual comprende a) un líquido limpiador; b) un complejo enzimático que cataliza la degradación oxidativa de los hidrocarburos que impregnan las partes mecánicas, y en donde dicho complejo enzimático se localiza en el interior de un cartucho filtrante; y, c) un fregadero de lavado. Utilizando el sistema de la presente invención se logra una eficiencia de degradación diaria de 250 a 500 g de hidrocarburos transformados en C02 y H20. Asimismo, se describe el método para realizar el lavado de las partes mecánicas.

The invention relates to methods for the enzymatic production of hydrogen peroxide, wherein the use of choline or choline derivatives as the substrates for the oxidase enzymes used in these methods can be avoided. The invention also relates to novel oxidase enzymes that are suitable for the use in these methods and that are not restricted to choline or choline derivatives as the preferred substrates. Finally, the invention relates to uses of said novel oxidase enzymes and to agents containing said novel oxidase enzymes.

The present invention provides compositions and methods for producing a polyol oxidase in micoroorganisms, and the use of polyol oxidases in cleaning compositions. The invention includes cleaning compositions that contain combinations of two or more POx oxidases, and cleaning compositions that contain combinations of two or more POx oxidases and a perhydrolase. In particular, the invention provides methods for expressing polyol oxidases in bacterial hosts for use in detergent applications for cleaning, bleaching and disinfecting.
