    摘要: The present invention provides semi-solid and reinforced soil mixtures formed from aqueous soil mixtures such as dredge material, discrete reinforcing fibers such as glass fibers. The reinforced mixtures can include additives for partially solidifying the aqueous soil mixture, such as calcium-containing materials, cementitious materials, silicon-containing materials, aluminum-containing materials and mixtures thereof. The pH of the reinforced soil mixture can be adjusted to control deterioration of the reinforcing fibers, as desired.

    摘要: The invention relates to a composite fabric web for reinforcing soil layers, consisting of a textile lattice (1) and a water-permeable, flat textile structure (2) which is joined to the lattice (1). The aim of the invention is to provide a geotextile composite fabric web whose positioning not only achieves good reinforcement but also allows for the rapid and reliable consolidation of the subsoil situated beneath the textile composite fabric web. To this end the lattice (1) consists of strips (3) which are at least 4 cm wide, extend at distances (A) of at least 30 cm in the longitudinal direction of the composite fabric web and have high tensile strength, as well as of second strips (4) which are at least 4 cm wide, extend at distances (A) of at least 30 cm at right angles to the first strips (1) and have high tensile strength. At the points of intersection (5) the second strips are joined to the first strips (3) in a non-slip manner. The flat textile structure (2) consists of a tear-resistant material which can be stretched by at least 25 % and is positioned above the lattice (1).

    摘要: A clay soil is reinforced by intimately mixing it with randomly oriented polymer (e.g. polypropylene or polyester) fibres having an average length in the range of 6 to 18 mm; and compacting the resultant mixture. The fibres are preferably monofilaments rather than fibrillated and may be straight or crimped fibres and most preferably have a diameter of about 15 to 60 mu m. The fibres are preferably coated with a dispersing agent to prevent them from aggregating whilst being mixed into the soil.

    摘要: Described herein is a novel soil stabilization mixture comprising a mixture of soil to be stabilized, fibers and binder. The soil and the fibers are mixed together. The binder, which acts as a chemical stabilizer, is then added and mixing continues. The mixture is then applied to the soil to be stabilized and the stabilized soil is then compacted. The fibers can be recycled carpet fibers, fiber reinforced polymer, biofibers or a mixture thereof. The binder comprises Portland cement and at least one of crushed glass, metakaolin and ground blast furnace slag.
