Abstract:
The modular heated cover (900) is disclosed with a first pliable outer layer (302) and a second pliable outer layer (306), wherein the outer layers (302, 306) provide durable protection in an outdoor environment, an electrical heating element between the first and the second outer layers (302, 306), the electrical heating element configured to convert electrical energy to heat energy, and a thermal insulation layer (304) positioned above the active electrical heating element. Beneficially, such a device (900) provides radiant heat, weather isolation, temperature insulation, and solar heat absorption efficiently and cost effectively. The modular heated cover (900) quickly and efficiently removes ice, snow, and frost from surfaces, and penetrates soil and other material to thaw the material to a suitable depth. A plurality of modular heated covers (900) can be connected on a single 120 Volt circuit protected by a 20 Amp breaker.
Abstract:
A modular wall system includes a plurality of wall panels, each with a core, a front skin, a rear skin, and at least one edging piece along at least one edge. The edging piece has first and second edgewise extensions extending first and second lengths, respectively, and defining an intermediate groove, wherein the first extension is adjacent the front skin, and wherein the first length is greater than the second length. A floor track has a base flange and a substantially vertical panel-receiving channel. At least one vertically oriented H-spline is provided for resting on the floor track and being positioned between two adjacent wall panels. The H-spline has a front flange and a rear flange joined by a web, wherein the front flange has a transverse width adapted to be received in the intermediate grooves of edging pieces of the adjacent wall panels.
Abstract:
Abstract:
Abstract:
Modular structural components and structural connections including chords and forming strips. Each chord has a generally elongated square main body of four main walls surrounding a central bore and having a T-slot structure adapted to accept a bolt type fastener extending along each exterior main surface. Each forming strip is an elongated plate formed into strip segments oriented at right angles to each other and forming a W-shaped corner region, a face region with a bolt hole and an attachment region, each region forming a mating bearing surface with a surface of a chord.
Abstract:
Disposable protective sheeting for covering decks and floors during construction and the like. The protective sheeting includes a first layer of a barrier material impervious to liquid and pervious to vapor and a second layer of an overlay material providing a slip-resistant upper surface that is bonded to the first layer. Alternatively, the sheeting can be a single layer of barrier material treated to be slip resistant. The sheeting can be provided in rolls and temporarily secured to the decks and floors at the construction site or pre-installed onto decking materials off-site. When construction is complete, the disposable protective sheeting is removed to expose a contamination and damage free surface.
Abstract:
Textile panel (10) comprising at least a sheet (12) associated with a frame (11) by means of elastic tensioning elements (13); the frame (11) comprises at least two profiles (14) connected to each other by means of connection elements (15, 115) able to selectively allow both the reciprocal distancing thereof, to put the sheet (12) under tension, and the clamping thereof in a distanced position to maintain the tensioning of the sheet (12). The method to produce the textile panel (10) comprises the following steps: attaching the tensioning elements (13) along the perimeter of the sheet (12); constraining the tensioning elements (13) to the profiles (14); connecting the profiles (14) to each other by means of the connection elements (15, 115); thrusting the profiles (14) outwards to determine the reciprocal distancing thereof and the consequent tensioning of the sheet (12); clamping the profiles (14) in a reciprocally distanced position to maintain the sheet (12) under tension.
Abstract:
A partition mount system includes an integrated plunger assembly. The integrated plunger assembly is constructed and arranged to be integrated into an interior of an end of an extension pole, for example a standard telescoping extension pole. Mounting of the plunger in an interior portion of the pole in this manner provides for a sleek design that is relatively lightweight. Assuming that the pole in which the anchor is mounted is part of a telescoping pole system, the anchor and, plunger do not interfere with full travel of the interior pole with respect to other poles in the telescoping system. In this manner, operation of the telescoping pole system is not inhibited by the integrated plunger assembly.
Abstract:
A floor surface (12) protective sheet (10A), comprising: an elongated flexible surface (20); and a plurality of rigid plates (18) attached to the elongated flexible surface (20), wherein the rigid plates (18) and the attachment thereof are characterized for avoiding deformation of the elongated flexible surface (20) upon weight of a person treading thereon, thereby avoiding deformation of the floor surface (12) on which the protective sheet (10) is laid, and allowing folding the protective sheet (10A).
