A mandrel for manufacturing substantially cylindrically shaped objects, in particular storage tanks made of plastic, more particularly of fibre or fibre glass reinforced plastic, wherein the mandrel (M) is configured such that a diameter (D) of a substantially cylindrical outer surface (S) of the mandrel is adjustable between at least a first (D1) and a second diameter (D2), wherein said substantially cylindrical outer surface (S) is uninterrupted for each of the at least first and second diameter. The invention also provides a method for manufacturing substantially cylindrically shaped objects, in particular storage tanks made of plastic, more particularly of fibre or fibre glass reinforced plastic, wherein an at least one object forming substance (11) is applied onto a substantially cylindrical external surface (S) of a mandrel (M).

Proceso de construcción de estructuras cilíndricas, del tipo preferentemente metálicas, basado en los métodos de construcción conocidos como "método que comienza el montaje por la estructura superior", que otorga un alto grado de seguridad a las distintas etapas que se deben llevar a cabo. El proceso utiliza un dispositivo conformador de chapas para virolas, al menos una cabina fija de alineación y soldadura vertical de chapas, cabinas móviles de soldadura horizontal internas y externas y dispositivos de base soporte que en conjunto posibilitan un entorno de trabajo seguro y confortable para los operarios, como así también una mayor celeridad y calidad de terminación del tanque a construir, aún bajo condiciones climáticas severas.

A system for protecting storage tank soil side bottoms against corrosion includes a pipe system comprising non-perforated inlet pipes and perforated pipes connected thereto. A sleeve container having solid VCI compounds therein is inserted into the perforated pipes. The sleeves are permeable to vapors emitted by the solid VCI compounds and flow through the pipe to a perforation where they are admitted into an area beneath a storage tank so that they can contact the tank bottom (soil side) and protect the same from corrosion.

A large tank production method which makes it possible to producea large tank which cannot be produced on the ground. A floating base station (1012) is disposed on the sea in such a manner as to encompass a first spherical shell portion (1002a) constituting one end of the tank and inside this floating base station, a cylindrical portion continuing from the first spherical shell portion is constituted and then a second spherical shell portion (1002b) for constituting the other end of the tank is so fitted so as to close the open end of the cylindrical portion.

The second outside leg (620) and the second inside leg (618) define a second seal recess (600) configured to receive and retain a second seal (310). In an installed configuration, the first inside leg (618) and the first outside leg (620) are configured to contact the first flat panel (200) along a first common plane, and the second inside leg (618) and second outside leg (620) contact the second panel (200) along a second common plane.
Abstract:
A modular food storage apparatus for storing dry goods and/or perishable goods. The food storage apparatus may be fixed or mobile. The apparatus includes a scalable frame. A plurality of scalable side panels are securely affixed to the frame. A plurality of scalable roofing panels are securely affixed to the frame and to the side panels. The food storage apparatus may be stationary and affixed to a concrete foundation. The apparatus may be modified with monitoring devices and venting devices for storage of dry goods. The apparatus may be modified for storage of perishable goods using refrigeration or a controlled atmosphere environment.

Um ein Sichtschutzelement zu ermöglichen, das von außen Blickdicht und von innen nach Außen durchschaubar ist, ist ein an sich blickdurchlässiges Gewebe (4) vorgesehen, das eine hellfarbige Außenseite (8) mit hohem Reflexionsvermögen und eine dunkelfarbige Innenseite (10) aufweist. Durch die hellfarbige Außenseite (8) ist das menschliche Auge aufgrund des reflektierenden Lichts nicht oder kaum in der Lage von außen durch das Gewebe (4) hindurchzusehen. Gleichzeitig ist ein Durchschauen von innen nach Außen möglich.
