Said device (1) is characterized in that a food slicer (5) is or can be fixed is an articulated manner to the base part (3) in place of the actuation part (4) or in addition to the actuation (4), or that the actuation part (4) comprises a support (8) on which at least one pressing stamp (7), preferably which can be detached again, is or can be fixed, and that a food slicer (5) forms the support (8) or comprises the support (8).

A vehicle tailgate lift system comprises an energy storage device located within a vehicle body and adapted to be pivotally anchored to the vehicle body at one end, a bellcrank arm that is pivotally attached to the energy storage device and rigidly attached to an actuation shaft that is coaxially aligned with a tailgate pivot axis, a pivot bracket assembly that incorporates a pivot bearing arrangement to facilitate a robust rotary joint about the tailgate pivot axis, and comprising a coupling means between the tailgate and the actuation shaft, such that relative rotary motion of the tailgate and vehicle body results in linear movement of the energy storage device and maximum energy storage at the tailgate fully open position.

A tailgate counterbalancing hinge assembly includes a linear torque rod, a first end assembly and a second end assembly secured to the torque rod. One end assembly pivotally retains the tailgate while permitting a torque rod end to be rigidly coupled to the tailgate for movement with the tailgate about the pivot axis. The other end assembly pivotally retains the tailgate and permits the end fo the torque rod to be rigidly retained with respect to the vehicle body. The assemblies are easily mounted in the vehicle by means of brackets secured to the tailgate and a vehicle body hinge pin to simplify installation and repair of the counterbalancing hinge assembly.

An indexing hinge comprises a two arm hinge half and an axle hinge half. The two arm hinge half includes two hinge arms, a projecting indexing element disposed therebetween and a first mounting element. The axle hinge half includes two axles, each extending from a toothed indexing element, and a second mounting element. When the axle hinge half is connected to the two arm hinge half by interconnecting each axle with a respective hinge arm, the projecting indexing element abuts the toothed indexing element in such a way as to prevent rotation unless an additional rotational torque is applied. An electronic equipment enclosure installation comprises an electronic equipment enclosure and an indexing hinge.
