Abstract:
A device for producing a vertical lifting movement in continuous casting ingot moulds for metals, in particular steel, comprises vibratory mechanical drive elements the lifting height of which is adjustable, which stand on a base plate, and which communicate with the ingot moulds. To obtain a device of this kind, of simple, wear-resistant design, and which is freely adjustable, helps accurately guide the ingot mould, and at the same time permits precise adjustment of the height during operation, the drive element (10), at least one of which is provided, has a rotary plate (20) inclined to their longitudinal axis (III) at an adjustable angle about a swivel axis (I). On the side (21) facing the direction of lifting and outside the axis of rotation of the plate (II), one end (31) of a rod (30) is mounted, the other end (32) being mounted in a element (40) which supports the continuous casting ingot mould (80).
Abstract:
In a stroke amplifier, fig 1, there is provided a plurality of alternating first and second units, radial to a centre line, Extension is produced by relative rotation between the first and second units about the centre line so that, either physical links joining each member to its neighbour, rolling balls on undulating members, or permanent magnets, move the units apart axially, when the alternate sets are rotated with respect to each other.
Abstract:
A drive apparatus of a chair assembly for a 4D theater according to the present disclosure includes: a lower plate which is in contact with the ground; an upper plate which is positioned above the lower plate so as to be spaced apart from the lower plate; a first actuator which is positioned at a left portion between the lower plate and the upper plate; a second actuator which is positioned at a right portion between the lower plate and the upper plate; and a spline device, in which the spline device is installed to be positioned on a vertical centerline of the lower plate, and the first actuator is installed to have a predetermined first angle with respect to a horizontal centerline of the lower plate.
Abstract:
The invention provides a cable drive device (10) including a linear drive member (12), and a cable drum (14) attached to a support bracket (30, 32) adapted to be affixed to a surface. The cable drum (14) has an axle (26) supported by the support bracket (30, 32) to allow rotation of the cable drum (14). The cable drum (14) has a cable (42) affixed at either end of said linear drive member (12) and tautly wrapped around the cable drum (14). The cable drum (14) is located between the ends of the linear drive member (12) to, in use, allow the linear drive member (12) to e guided through the bracket (30, 32) to move the linear drive member (12) longitudinally when the axle (26) is rotated.
Abstract:
Abstract:
A rotary/linear converter comprising a reciprocator (13) having a main axis (A) and being adapted for reciprocating movement in the direction of the main axis (A) and a rotator (17) adapted for rotating movement about the main axis (A), the converter further including converter means which operatively interconnects the reciprocator and the rotator (17). The converter means includes a control link (36) having one end portion thereof pivotally connected to another part (32) of the converter means and the other end portion pivotally connected to a mounting (38), the link (36) being adapted to pivotally oscillate about the mounting (38) in response to movement of one of said either the rotator (17) or the reciprocator (13) thereby causing movement of the other.
Abstract:
An engine, pump or compressor with a "Z"-shaped crankshaft (2) providing either two or four strokes of differential length for every revolution of the crankshaft (2). The crankshaft (2) is connected to a piston (1, 1') via a spigot assembly (40) mounted on each crank journal (28, 29), which has at its piston end a spigot (36, 37) on which a stirrup crank (30, 31) is mounted, the stirrup crank (30, 31) being mounted on bearings at right angles to the main bearing journals, the spigot (36, 37) or the stirrup crank (30, 31) supporting a connecting rod (5, 5') for each piston (1, 1').
