Abstract:
The crown wheel (2) of a planetary gear (5) is connected to the input shaft (7) while the planet carrier (4) is connected to the output shaft (12). The sun wheel (1) is locked by means of a free wheel (14) when the clutch (9) is released. The device then operates as a reduction gear. The sun wheel (1) rotates with the crown wheel (2) and the planet carrier (4) when the clutch (9) is engaged. The axial forces (FAP, FAC), sustained by the sun wheel (1) and the crown wheel (2) when in gear-reduction mode, and resulting from the helical tooth configuration, tend through the stop (17) to compress a spring (18) and release the clutch (9). When in direct drive and beyond a certain torque, the clutch (9) slips, thereby generating the above-mentioned axial forces which compress the spring and accelerate disengaging. The device operates as a reduction gear until the torque on the shaft (7) is reduced, thereby enabling the spring (18) to re-engage the clutch. For use on the input side of a gear box in order to automatically reduce speed ratios during acceleration, the gear box being itself preferably automatically controlled, especially under the effect of axial forces generated by other planetary gears.

Abstract:
A clutch arrangement for use in a power tool having a multi-speed transmission assembly. The clutch arrangement includes a clutch member and a follower member. The clutch member is coupled to a member of the transmission assembly that is proximate the torsional input of the transmission assembly and which must be in a non-rotating position to permit the transmission assembly to perform a torque multiplication operation. The follower member is biased into engagement with the clutch member to inhibit relative rotation therebetween. As the clutch member and the transmission member are coupled to one another, the transmission assembly is able to perform a torque multiplication operation. When, however, the torsion that is exerted onto the clutch member is sufficient to overcome the fractional engagement between the follower and clutch members, the clutch member, and the transmission member, rotate, thereby inhibiting the capability of the transmission to continue to perform the torque multiplication operation.

Die Erfindung geht aus von einer Kraftfahrzeugantriebsstrangvorrichtung mit einem Mehrgruppengetriebe (10), das eine zu einer Bereitstellung zumindest eines Vorwärtsgetriebegangs und zumindest eines Rückwärtsgetriebegangs vorgesehene Hauptgruppe (11 ) und eine der Hauptgruppe (11 ) nachgeschaltete Nachschaltgruppe (12) aufweist, und einer Steuer- und/oder Regeleinheit (13), die eine Gangwechselfunktion aufweist, die dazu vorgesehen ist, zumindest in einem Getriebegangwechselvorgang (14) zu einem Einlegen eines entgegen einer aktuellen Fahrtrichtung gerichteten Getriebegangs die Hauptgruppe (11 ) zu schalten. Es wird vorgeschlagen, dass die Steuer- und/oder Regeleinheit (13) eine Synchronisierungsfunktion aufweist, die dazu vorgesehen ist, zum Einlegen des entgegen der aktuellen Fahrtrichtung gerichteten Getriebegangs die Nachschaltgruppe (12) zu schalten.

Method to control a drivetrain of a vehicle, wherein the vehicle is provided with a vibration sensor and a system for calculating the mass of the vehicle during driving, and where a starting gear of the transmission is automatically chosen dependent on the calculated mass of the vehicle. The method chooses a lower starting gear than the during driving calculated mass has indicated if the vibration sensor has registered a vibration of the vehicle at stand still.

The multi-ratio transmission consists of modules, with two ratios each (180a, 180b, 180c, 180d) disposed non-coaxially in order to make best use of the space available in the power unit for each given application. Application in automobiles in general.
