Abstract: A gate valve assembly is provided including a valve body having a channel extending from a distal end to a proximal end, a gate configured to be moved from a first position to a second position, the second position being when the gate is positioned in the channel of the valve body between the distal end and the proximal end of the valve body, at least one seal insert configured to be threaded into a pocket of the valve body, a seat configured to be positioned within the seat insert, and a seal adapted within a groove of the seat insert positioned between the valve body and the seat insert, wherein the seal is a fixed static seal providing no gaps and/or spaces between the seal insert and the valve body allowing no debris to corrupt the seals.

Abstract: A gate valve comprises a valve body having an internal working fluid passage with a longitudinal axis and an internal gate chamber extending transverse to the working fluid passage. In addition, the gate valve comprises a gate disposed in the internal gate chamber and movable within the gate chamber between a closed position obstructing fluid flow through the working fluid passage and an open position allowing fluid flow through the working fluid passage. Further, the gate valve comprises an internal sealing arrangement coaxially disposed in the working fluid passage and extending between the valve body and the gate to form a barrier between the internal working fluid passage and internal gate chamber. Still further, the gate valve comprises an internal venting passage extending from the internal gate chamber to the internal working fluid passage for selective venting of fluid pressure from the internal gate chamber to the internal working fluid passage.

Abstract: A valve assembly (200) disposed within a vacuum environment which is configured to protect the sealing surfaces thereof to prolong life of the valve assembly. The valve assembly includes a sealing piston (201b) and a flange portion (201a) that define a passage therethrough. The sealing piston is movable toward and away from the flange portion to define a chamber (210). When the valve assembly is in an open position, a valve seal (205) attached to the sealing piston engages a surface of the flange portion. When the valve assembly is to be closed, the sealing piston is displaced away from the flange portion which disengages the valve seal from the surface of the flange and a gate (203) is disposed within the space defined between the sealing piston and the flange portion. The gate includes a gate seal which engages the surface of the flange portion when the gate is disposed within the chamber.
