Abstract:
Indexing a photoset for retrieval of representative photos of an event is disclosed. Photos of a photoset are clustered into taxa of a hierarchical event taxonomy. A representative photo from each taxa is selected based on an object image quality.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a system for connecting users over a network without requiring the users to share their personal contact details. The system comprises a server connected to a network and a plurality of user devices configured to upload images to the server through the network. The server comprises a database storing a plurality of images, a processor, and a computer- readable storage medium storing a computer readable code. The computer readable code when executed by the processor of the server causes the processor to receive an image from a first user device of the plurality of user devices, compare the received image with the plurality of images stored in the database to determine a second user device of the plurality of user devices, and establish a connection between the first user device and the second user device based on the comparison.
Abstract:
To improve the storing and loading efficiency of methods for storing and loading data related to multiple pictures, it is suggested, to store the data of a primary picture, to identify the differences between the data of the primary picture and a secondary picture, and to store this information as a first differential information.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for selecting representative photos for a photo album are described. An example computing device may include a display, a logic device, and a storage device storing instructions executable by the logic device to, for each known individual recognized in one or more photos of the album, determine an affinity score for that known individual indicating a connection of that known individual to a) a user of the computing device and b) a context corresponding to the album. The instructions may be further executable to select one or more known individuals based on the affinity score to be included in a subset of the known individuals recognized in one or more photos of the album, and select a representative photo of each of the subset of the known individuals to be included in one or more of a highlight photoset and a cover photo for the album.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for identifying social relation of persons in an image, comprising : generating face regions for faces of the persons in the image; determining at least one spatial cue for each of the faces; extracting features related to social relation for each face from the face regions; determining a shared facial feature from the extracted features and the determined spatial cue, the determined feature being shared by multiple the social relation inferences; and predicting the social relation of the persons from the shared facial feature.
