A modular photovoltaic louvered device comprises a rectangular framework; a plurality of photovoltaic louvre panels engaged in parallel within the framework, and electrical connector bearings interfacing each louvre panel and the framework, allowing each louvre panel to rotate through an operative range and electrically connecting each louvre panel to electronics within the framework. The louvre panel comprises: a transparent outer; a plurality of upper upwardly orientated photovoltaic cells operatively facing an upper surface; a plurality of lower downwardly orientated photovoltaic cells operatively facing a lower surface; and a reflector located between the lower photovoltaic cells and the transparent outer.
Abstract:
A substantially two-dimensional construction element for a building construction is provided. The construction element comprises a solar energy photovoltaic converter panel and a building construction member. The photovoltaic converter panel is one layer of a layer stack, which layer stack comprises the building construction member, includes a core material layer and provides for at least one of mechanical strength, of acoustic isolation and of thermal isolation. The layer stack comprises a front surface layer being chemically bonded on the core material. The photovoltaic converter panel is dismantably mounted to said front surface layer by means of an arrangement of controllably releasable mounting members. Furthermore, a building construction comprising at least one construction element and a method of repairing, updating or for maintenance of a construction element is provided.

A window assembly can include an insulated glass unit, a mounting assembly moveably coupled to the insulated glass unit, and an electrical component secured to the mounting assembly. A method can include securing an electrical component to a mounting assembly, coupling the mounting assembly to an insulated glass unit, and installing the insulating glass unit in a frame. In an embodiment, after the window assembly is installed within the frame, the mounting assembly can be moved in a final position and securely fastened into position. In an embodiment, the pre-assembly can help to keep all components of a window assembly together during shipping and at the installation site to reduce the likelihood that components are separated or lost during shipping or at the installation site.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Haltevorrichtung (1) für ein Solarmodul (2) an einer Brüstung (3) eines Balkons aufweisend zumindest die folgenden Komponenten: - eine Anbindungseinrichtung (4) zum Anbinden eines zu haltenden Elements, wobei die Anbindungseinrichtung zumindest ein Auflager (5, 6, 7, 8) zur Anlage an einer Brüstung aufweist; und - zumindest eine Querstrebe (9, 10) zum Überbrücken einer Brüstungsbreite, wobei die zumindest eine Querstrebe mit der Anbindungseinrichtung verbunden ist und zumindest einen Flansch (12, 13) zur Anlage an einer Brüstung aufweist, wobei mittels einer Bewegung des zumindest einen Flanschs hin zur Anbindungseinrichtung der zumindest eine Flansch und das zumindest eine Auflager einander entgegengesetzt gegen die Brüstung drücken. Mit der hier dargestellten Erfindung wird eine Haltevorrichtung mit großer Flexibilität in Hinsicht auf die Beschaffenheit einer Balkonbrüstung vorgeschlagen.

We describe a window assembly (100) comprising: a window pane (102) comprising a glass or plastic sheet; and a layer of holographic recording medium (104) attached to said glass or plastic sheet; wherein said layer of holographic recording medium has recorded within the medium a volume hologram (106) configured to direct light incident onto said glass or plastic sheet to propagate within a thickness of said glass or plastic sheet, preferably to a photovoltaic element (120). In embodiments the volume hologram is fabricated by recording a transmission hologram and shrinking the recorded hologram to convert the transmission hologram to an edge-directing hologram configured to direct light in a direction to be totally internally reflected within the window pane, for example at greater than 40°, 50°, 60°, 70°, 75° or 80° to a normal to the surface of the hologram.

A device and method of pre-attaching assemblies to glazing can provide for accurate fit or registration after installation. A solar panel provides power to an insulated glass unit. Mounting brackets are secured to the insulated glass unit. A plate adjustably attaches to the mounting brackets. After positioning the plate on the mounting brackets a solar panel is attached to the plate and the insulated glass unit is installed in a frame. The plate is adapted to be moved toward the frame such that the solar panel is flush to the frame after moving the plate. Trim pieces can then be installed over the portions of the plate not covered by the solar panel.
