Abstract:
The present invention relates to an image display device capable of retrieving radio channel program content information from a remote server to be delivered to the users. The present invention more specifically relates to an image display device receiving a plurality of broadcast program contents including audio signal contents provided by radio stations, said image display device comprising an electronic control unit.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a method of processing a hybrid broadcast service. The method comprises, receiving broadcast signals for the hybrid broadcast service, wherein the broadcast signals includes address information about the signaling information, transmitting a request for signaling information of the broadcast signals and receiving signaling information via a broadband channel or a mobile broadband by using one of a unicast method, a multicast method and an eMBMS (evolved Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service) method.
Abstract:
Methods, apparatus, and articles of manufacture for reducing exposure crediting errors due to spillover in a media monitoring system are disclosed. An example method includes determining if first media monitoring data provided from a first meter identifies a same media as second media monitoring data provided from a second meter. If the first media monitoring data identifies the same media as the second media monitoring data, the example method includes detecting if spillover occurred by determining if an absolute value of a difference between a first timestamp associated with the first media monitoring data and a second timestamp associated with the second media monitoring data is less than a threshold. If spillover occurred, the example method includes determining which of the first media monitoring data or the second media monitoring data to credit as a media exposure.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus to select media based on engagement levels are disclosed. An example method includes generating an engagement level based on information related to an audience member in a media exposure environment; and selecting, based on the engagement level, one of a plurality of media collections from which a piece of media is to be select for presentation in the media exposure environment.
Abstract:
An audience measurement system generates signatures of unknown pieces of content viewed by panel members, and generates multiplexed reference signatures of known pieces of content. The signatures of the unknown pieces of content are stored and transmitted to a central processing site, where they are compared with the reference signatures for their identification. A signature comparator finds matches between the signatures of the unknown and the known contents.
Abstract:
A system for automatically monitoring the viewing activities of television signals, comprising a measurement device, in which the television signals are adapted to be communicated to the measurement device and the TV set, making the measurement device receive the same signals as the TV set; the measurement device is adapted to extract a fingerprint data from the television signals displayed to the viewers, making the measurement device measures the same video signals as those being seen by the viewers; a data center to which the fingerprint data is transferred; and a fingerprint matcher to which the television signals which the viewers are selected to watch are sent to be monitored through the measurement device. The system according to the present invention does not require any change to the other devices already in place before the measurement device is introduced into the connections.
Abstract:
Various aspects can be implemented to provide a phone-based system for identifying broadcast audio streams and broadcast audio sources. In general, one aspect can be a method that includes obtaining a broadcast stream that includes one or more broadcast segments, and associating each broadcast segment with a broadcast timestamp. The method also includes receiving an audio sample through a user-initiated telephone connection for a predetermined period of time. The method further includes comparing the received audio sample with a database comprising a plurality of pre-processed audio samples, and obtaining a matching pre-processed audio sample that most closely correlates to the received audio sample. Other implementations of this aspect include corresponding systems, apparatus, and computer program products.
Abstract:
Example methods, apparatus, and articles of manufacture to collect metering information associated with media presented by media presentation devices are disclosed. A disclosed example system for collecting metering information includes a media meter to generate media monitoring information in response to media presented by a media presentation device. The example system also includes a peripheral memory device removably couplable by an audience member to the media meter to receive the media monitoring information.
Abstract:
Example methods, apparatus, and articles of manufacture to collect metering information associated with media presented by portable and computer media presentation devices are disclosed. A disclosed example method accesses a first data structure including metering information generated by at least one of first media presentation software executed by a personal computer or second media presentation software executed by a portable media presentation device. The metering information is associated with media presented by at least one of the first or second media presentation software. At least some of the metering information is then extracted from the first data structure and stored in a second data structure. The at least some of the metering information is then communicated from the second data structure to a data collection facility.
