This invention relates to an information processing apparatus being able to execute first and second functions and set the processing conditions of each function by using a user interface, and a control method of the information processing apparatus. In a case that either of the first and second functions is selected, an application common to both the first and second functions is launched, and a user interface window generated based on common data corresponding to the application is displayed. The processing conditions of the selected function can be set from the user interface window.

Methods are provided which are adapted to create print order files that are customized for one or more particular printer (s) . The methods use digital printers that have specific printing capabilities and involve the production and storage of profiles that define the printing capabilities of the printers Preferably, the profile (s) is (are) stored on a removable storage medium, on which a digital camera then stores images and print order files.

A memory card (200) is provided that is configured to be used in a digital camera (100) having an inbuilt processor (104) incapable of independently exporting digital data externally of the digital camera (100) or independently importing digital data from externally of the digital camera (100). The memory card (200) comprises a wireless transceiver module (204) being operably connected to at least one of a central processor (202), and a storage module (206); and is configured to wirelessly receive the digital data transmitted to the digital camera (100) and to wirelessly transmit the digital data from the digital camera (100). The central processor (202) is configured to control at least one of: the reception of the digital data by the digital camera (100), and the transmission of the digital data from the digital camera (100). The storage module (206) is operably connected to the central processor (202) and is configured to store at least one of the digital data captured by the digital camera (100), and the digital data received by the digital camera (100). The memory card (200) is configured to at least one of: wirelessly transmit the digital data to at least one external device through the wireless transceiver module (204), and wirelessly receive the digital data from an external device through the wireless transceiver module (204). There is provided a technique for enabling, as needed, a Web service for controlling execution of each function of an MFP when executing the function in response to a request from a Web server in an information processing apparatus. An information processing apparatus of the present invention includes a Web browser which transmits input information input through an displayed operation screen based on screen information provided from a Web server. Upon receiving, from the Web server, an execution request of processing corresponding to the input information, the information processing apparatus registers in a Web service server a service (Web service) defined in definition information contained in the execution request when starting execution of the processing according to the execution request. The web service server provides, among a plurality of providable services, the registered service which is used for controlling the execution of the processing.

An image forming apparatus capable of being connected to an external apparatus through a network performs setting of processing to be executed in the image forming apparatus, receives from the external apparatus a web page for setting processing to be executed in the external apparatus, and displays the web page. Subsequently, the image forming apparatus transmits to the external apparatus an input value input by a user through the displayed web page, and receives an identifier associated with the input value from the external apparatus. The image forming apparatus transmits to the external apparatus the identifier and data to be executed in the processing in the external apparatus, and forms an image of data processed by the external apparatus according to the input value and processed by the image forming apparatus according to the setting.
