Abstract:
This invention suppresses power consumption of a mobile communication terminal apparatus in data exchange in wireless communications. For this purpose, when wireless communications are established between a mobile communication terminal apparatus (200) and MFP (300), the mobile terminal (200) sends a processing request to the MFP (300). Upon reception of this request, the MFP (300) re-establishes communications with the mobile terminal (200) so as to set a communication mode in a passive mode, and to share roles to have the MFP as an initiator, and the mobile terminal as a target.
Abstract:
The disclosed embodiments provide a system that facilitates the execution of a print job. During operation, the system receives, at a printer, a signal from a portable electronic device indicating the printer has been selected for the print job. Next, in response to the selection, the system generates an output that facilitates identification of the printer by a user of the portable electronic device. The system also provides a mechanism for confirming physical access to the printer by the user. Upon confirming the physical access to the printer by the user, the system establishes a direct connection between the portable electronic device and the printer, wherein the direct connection is subsequently used by the portable electronic device and the printer to perform the print job.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to the data communication method enabling wireless sharing of files or data between electronic devices that can store information and/or generate information by means of touch surface (capacitive or multi-touch), display units (LCD, led, etc.), photo sensor and frame having negative electrical conductivity.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus to support a near field communication (NFC) function receives address book information stored in a user terminal by tagging the user terminal, and generates a quick menu in which image forming functions related to the received address book information are listed and displays the quick menu on a user interface unit.
Abstract:
A method and device for adding sound annotations to a picture, and a mobile terminal including the device are disclosed. The method adds sound annotations to a picture in the mobile terminal, comprising: selecting and displaying a picture on a display device of the mobile terminal; selecting an arbitrary position on the picture; starting a sound recording function to record sound annotations for said arbitrary position on the picture; and saving the picture and the recorded sound annotations. With the present disclosure, a user of the mobile terminal can conveniently add sound annotations to a photo when the photo is taken with a camera included in the mobile terminal, so as to record wonderful "sound and picture" contents, or edit and send multimedia messages having "sound hyperlinks". A method and device for adding a visual mark onto a picture, and a mobile terminal including the device are also disclosed.
Abstract:
In implementing data transfer using noncontact close proximity transfer, the user operability is improved. The invention includes a communication system having a DSC and printer. Each of the DSC and printer includes a noncontact close proximity transfer function unit which executes, when the DSC and printer are located within a communicable range, connection processing for establishing a connection state in a first communication layer, a print image transfer processing unit which executes, when the connection state in the first communication layer is established, authentication processing for checking whether a connection state in a second communication layer has been established, and executes, when authentication fails, connection processing for establishing the connection state in the second communication layer, and a link control unit which transfers data when authentication succeeds or when the connection state in the second communication layer is established.
Abstract:
In an information processing apparatus for transmitting and receiving information via a communication medium established relative to an external apparatus, it is determined whether the information to be transmitted and subject to specific processing in the external apparatus is selected or not. If it is determined that the information to be transmitted is selected, the selected information is transmitted via the communication medium. If it is determined that the information is not selected, designation information indicating the information selectable subject to transmission is transmitted via the communication medium. Then, the information designated by the designation information received in response to the transmission of the selection information is transmitted to the external apparatus via the communication medium.
