An improved, dual-shaft preconditioner (10, 70, 102) is provided having independent drive mechanism ( 18, 20, 78, 80) operatively coupled with a corresponding preconditioner shaft (14, 16, 74, 76, 106, 108) and permitting selective rotation ofthe shafts (14, 16, 74, 76, 106, 108) at rotational speeds and directions independent of each other. Preferably, the speed differential between the shafts (14, 16, 74, 76, 106, 108) is at least about 5:1. The mechanisms (18, 20, 78, 80) are operatively coupled with a digital control device (60) to allow rotational speed and direction control. Preferably, the preconditioner (10, 70, 102) is supported on load cells (62, 100) also coupled with control device (60) to permit on-the-go changes in material retention time within the preconditioner (10, 70, 102). The preconditioner (10, 70, 102) is particularly useful for the preconditioning and partial gelatinization of starch-bearing feed or food materials, to an extent to achieve at least about 50% cook in the preconditioned feed or food materials.

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Stabmixer mit einem Motor zum Antrieb eines Bearbeitungswerkzeuges, der an eine elektrische Leiterplatte (1) kontaktiert ist, die zur Steuerung des Motors mindestens ein elektrisches Bauteil (5,19) aufweist, das durch ein zugeordnetes, von Hand zu betätigendes Stellglied (11,21) veränderbar ist, und welche Leiterplatte in einen Halter (2) eingesetz ist, der mindestens eine Lagerstelle (15,26) aufweist, in der das Stellglied geführt ist. Um die Montage des Stabmixers zu vereinfachen, wird vorgeschlagen dass das mindestens eine Stellglied am Halter vormontiert gelagert ist.

The invention relates to a kitchen machine provided with coupling points (2 and 13) for processing tools, whereby said coupling points are arranged on the kitchen machine at a distance from each other. A shaft (7 or 15) which is driven by a drive motor (6) of the kitchen machine is provided at each coupling point (2 or 13). An actuating element coupled to a switch which is mounted in the electric circuit of the drive motor (6) is provided on the housing (1) of the kitchen machine. If one of the coupling points is not covered, the kitchen machine cannot operate. Two switching contacts (17 and 19) arranged in a row are provided in addition to the switch in the electric circuit of the drive motor (6). One switch can be shifted into a closed position either directly or indirectly when a processing device or covering element is placed on top of one of the coupling points (2) and another switching contact can be shifted into a closed position either directly or indirectly when a processing device or covering element is placed on the other coupling point (13).

A kitchen machine with a base (3) and a motor housing (5) which is arranged on the base (3) and in which an electric motor (27) is accommodated. On the base (3) next to the motor housing (5), an open bowl (9) can be placed, journalled relative to the base (3). A transverse arm (17) can be coupled on the motor housing (5), which arm extends to above the bowl (9). A tool (19) can be placed in the bowl (9) and can be coupled to a transmission (25) which is arranged in the transverse arm (17) and can be driven by the electric motor (27). The bowl (9) can be driven into rotation by a pinion (21) which is also coupled to the transmission (25). The pinion (21) is displaceable along its axis of rotation relative to the transverse arm (17) and is displaced from a first into a second position through engagement with a toothed rim (23) of the bowl (9) when the transverse arm (17) is placed on the motor housing (5). In the first position of the pinion (21), a rotary switch (69) is blocked in its zero position by a blocking mechanism (71) coupled to the pinion (21), so that the electric motor (27) cannot be switched on, whereas the rotary switch (69) is released by the blocking mechanism (71) with the pinion (21) in the second position when the transverse arm (17) is locked to the motor housing (5) by a locking mechanism (117). The invention relates to a kitchen machine, comprising a drive assembly (31) which is located in the housing (19) of said kitchen machine and which is coupled to a gearwheel (2) in driving terms. Said gearwheel is connected to a first driven shaft (9a) at the center of its axle, this driven shaft (9a) being provided with a driving pinion (9) for a planetary gear (6; 10) that is associated with the gear wheel (2). The pinion cage (28) of said planetary gear is connected to another driven shaft (29) which surrounds the first driven shaft (9a) concentrically. According to the invention, the gearwheel (2) is configured with a cup shape and has external toothing (4) on the cup cover, and the fixed gear rim (6) of the planetary gear is configured as a cup-shaped ring gear-gear rim (6) and introduced into the cup area (5) of the gearwheel (2) concentrically. This ensures that the integration of a planetary gear does not lead to an increase in the construction volume.
