Vorgestellt wird eine polyglycerolfettsäureesterhaltige Zusammensetzung, die folgende drei Bestandteile aufweist, nämlich erstens aus einer Veresterung von 2 bis zu 10 Glyceryleinheiten aufweisenden Polyglycerolen mit 12 bis zu 22 Kohlenstoffatome aufweisenden Fettsäuren erhältliche Polyglycerolfettsäureester, zweitens freies Polyglycerol mit 2 bis 10 Glyceryleinheiten, und drittens Polyglycerolfettsäure-monoester mit 2 bis 10 Glyceryleinheiten und mit 12 bis 22 Kohlenstoffatome aufweisenden Fettsäureresten. Die Zusammensetzung ist insbesondere für die Verwendung in Ausgangsmaterial für ein 3D-Druckverfahren geeignet und kann mit kosmetischen und/oder pharmazeutischen Wirkstoffen oder sonstigen Stoffen gut kombiniert werden. Herstellungsverfahren für entsprechendes Ausgangsmaterial für ein ebenfalls beschriebenes 3D-Druckverfahren sowie mittels dessen produzierbare Formkörper werden vorgestellt.

Embodiments of a method of purifying a lysophosphatidylcholine (e.g., LPC-DHA and/or LPC-EPA) from a composition containing the lysophosphatidylcholine and at least one impurity, e.g., from phospholipids, free fatty acids, triacylglycerols (TAGs), diacylglycerols (DAGs), monoacylglycerols (MAGs), glycerol, sterols, tocopherols, vitamin A, flavonoids, and minerals can use a continuous simulated moving bed process, a batch column chromatography method, or a single column to provide a purified composition of the lysophosphatidylcholine. The purified lysophosphatidylcholine (e.g., LPC-DHA and/or LPC-EPA) products can be used in various pharmaceutical and nutraceutical applications, e.g., for treating and/or preventing a neurological disease or disorder.
