Abstract: A system for precision psychiatry includes a wearable device including a cap and EEG electrodes attached thereto, the cap configured to be placed over a head of a user and including a plurality of first linear actuators configured to expand and contract to increase and decrease a size of the cap, respectively, the EEG electrodes connected to the cap via a plurality of second linear actuators configured to expand and contract to move the EEG electrode toward and away from, respectively, a scalp of the user, a processing device configured to be connected to the EEG electrodes of the wearable device to know the 3-D location of the EEG electrodes and to receive brain activity signals therefrom, the processing device generating a neurofeedback signal based on a detected aberrant brain activity, and a feedback device providing the neurofeedback signal to the user.

Abstract: Methods to treat anemia are provided whereby an erythropoietin stimulating agent (ESA) and an iron supplement are administered by a wearable device, based on patient parameters sensed by the wearable device. The method can involve monitoring patient parameters and dosing an ESA and an iron supplement in real-time, via the wearable device.

Abstract: Devices and methods for treating obstructive sleep apnea, habitual mouth breathing, and/or myofunctional therapy includes a body including an anterior end, a posterior end, and lateral portions shaped for introduction into a subject's oral cavity to position the anterior end adjacent front teeth of the subject and the posterior end adjacent the pharyngeal airway of the subject with or without the posterior end adjacent the pharyngeal airway. Sensors and/or stimulators may be provided, to generate electrical current, chemical release, vibration, and/or other stimulations, e.g., to activate neuromuscular contraction, stimulate salivation and subsequent swallowing movement, and/or induce partial wakefulness of the subject and/or to record data regarding the subject's tongue movements and/or position. Optionally, an extraoral sensor device may be provided for placement around the face, nose, check, abdomen, or neck, which may be paired with the intraoral device to detect the respiratory effort related airway obstruction.

Abstract: A back brace is configured to be worn by a patient for treating spinal deformations. The back brace has at least one pressure sensor configured to be attached to the back brace at a point of pressure with the body of a patient, and at least one strap configured to be tightened for adjusting a pressure at the point of pressure. A control unit is configured to be attached to one of an outside of the back brace and inside a cavity formed in the back brace. The control unit is configured for (a) processing signals from the at least one pressure sensor, (b) communicating with at least one external computing apparatus, (c) informing and guiding in real time and incentivizing a patient to more efficiently wear the back brace by at least providing indications to the patient for tightening the at least one strap by comparing a pressure value provided by the at least one pressure sensor with at least one calibration value, and (d) enabling a doctor to more efficiently monitor, intervene, and manage the patient and treatment in real time.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure are directed toward a method for providing uroflowmeter data. The method comprises receiving volume sample data representative of volume sample data from a uroflowmeter device, calculating the slope of the volume sample data, and performing additional actions if the calculated slope reaches a trigger threshold. If the calculated slope reaches a trigger threshold, the method may further determine if an artifact is present in the volume sample data. This may include comparing the morphology of the potential artifact to morphologies of known artifacts and comparing the value of the volume sample data before and after the potential artifact. If an artifact is determined to be present in the volume sample data and the volume sample data before the potential artifact is less than or equal to the volume sample data after the potential artifact, remove the portion of the volume sample data which represents the artifact.

Abstract: The invention provides a system for alerting a second subject (e.g. a parent) based on a wellbeing state of a first subject (e.g. a child) when the first subject is sleeping in the same room as the second subject. An arrangement of sensors is used for sensing data from the first subject and a processor is configured to determine the presence of the first subject from the sensing data. Based on the first subject being present, the processor is further configured to determine the state of the first subject based on the sensing data from the arrangement of sensors and then determine whether to alert the second subject based on the state of the first subject. An alarm is provided for alerting the second subject.

Abstract: A system for treatment of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is described. The system includes an introducer needle having an elongated body. The introducer needle is configured to create an opening in a tongue of a patient for implantation of a lead for treating OSA. One or more electrically conductive areas are located on the elongated body. A medical device is configured to deliver a stimulation signal via the introducer needle through the one or more electrically conductive areas to the tongue of the patient to stimulate one or more motor points of a protrusor muscle within the tongue of the patient.
