Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines bedruckten Vlies-Folien-Laminats aus einer Ausgangsfolienbahn (1) aus einem thermoplastischen Polymermaterial und einer Ausgangsvliesbahn (2), wobei der Schmelzpunkt der Ausgangsvliesbahn oberhalb des Kristallitschmelzpunkts wenigstens einer Komponente des Polymermaterials der Ausgangsfolienbahn liegt. Das Verfahren umfasst zumindest teilweise Beschichten der Ausgangsfolienbahn mit einer Druckfarbe und mit einem Haftvermittler; Erwärmen der beschichteten Folienbahn zusammen mit der Ausgangsvliesbahn auf eine Temperatur, die oberhalb des Kristallitschmelzpunkts der wenigstens einen Komponente des Polymermaterials der Ausgangsfolienbahn und des Haftvermittlers liegt und unterhalb des Kristallitschmelzpunkts der Ausgangsvliesbahn liegt, um ein Laminat zu erhalten; und Abkühlen des erhaltenen Laminats durch einen gekühlten Walzenspalt (9, 10). Corrugated and apertured web materials are disclosed. More specifically, the webs comprise alternating ridges and grooves, wherein apertures are located in the grooves. In one embodiment, a web comprises alternating ridges and grooves as well as alternating regions of lower basis weight and higher basis weight. The higher basis weight regions are located in the ridges and grooves and the lower basis weight regions are located in the sidewalls between the ridges and grooves. The higher basis weight regions located in the grooves comprise apertures. The apertures have greater open area than previous apertures in similar webs.

IN a process for manufacturing such a material, a sandwich structure is provided, of a precursor composite material held between first and second sandwiching layers. A relative shear strain of at least 10% is imposed on the precursor composite material by curling the sandwich structure around a roller. The shear strain is cycled, in order to promote the formation of the three dimensional periodic arrangement.
