Abstract: Fuel and lubricant compositions are provided that contain a primary low-speed pre-ignition (LSPI)-reducing additive comprising (i) an amino additive, (ii) an amine additive, (iii) a triazole additive, (iv) a benzamidinium additive, (v) a benzoxazole additive, or (vi) a N=C-X motif additive. Methods for preventing or reducing low speed pre-ignition events in spark-ignited engines using these compositions are also provided.

Abstract: The present invention provides a thermal management system comprising: a housing having an interior space; a heat-generating component disposed within the interior space; a heat exchanger; and a working fluid liquid disposed within the interior space such that the heat-generating component is in contact with the working fluid; wherein the working fluid comprises a Fischer-Tropsch derived base fluid; an antioxidant additive and an anti- static additive, wherein the thermal management system is constructed such that a constant cyclical flow of working fluid is maintained across the one or more heat-generating components, on to the heat exchanger and then back to the heat-generating component. The present invention also provides a method of thermal management of a heat-generating component comprising the steps of at least partially immersing a heat-generating component in a working fluid; and transferring the heat from the heat-generating component using the working fluid in a constant cyclical flow of working fluid across the one or more heat-generating components, on to a heat exchanger and then back to the heat-generating component, wherein the working fluid comprises a Fischer-Tropsch derived base fluid; an antioxidant additive; and an antistatic additive. The present invention also provides the use of a Fischer-Tropsch derived base fluid in a working fluid in contact with a heat-generating component in a thermal management system to improve anti-aging properties of the working fluid, wherein the working fluid also comprises an antioxidant additive and an anti-static additive.

Abstract: The present invention provides use of a Fischer- Tropsch derived working fluid with a kinematic viscosity at 100°C of at most 5 mm2/second in a thermal management system for a lithium-ion battery in order to rapidly disperse heat produced during a thermal runaway event.

Abstract: 一种环保型刀具磨削油,由如下质量百分比的组分组成:酯类基础油60~70%、合成基础油25~37%、摩擦改进剂0.2~4%、消泡剂0.01%~0.1%以及抗氧剂0.5~1%。该刀具磨削油使用合成酯和低粘度合成油作为基础油,从而使得到的刀具磨削油在自然环境下21天的生物降解率(CEC-L-33-A-93法)可达到70~100%,从而保证了产品良好的可生物降解性能;同时其使用了不含硫、磷、氯和重金属的摩擦改进剂,减少了对人体健康和环境的影响;使用非硅类的消泡剂,改善了油品泡沫和空气释放性,从而使其具有良好的过滤性,进而具有良好的冷却性能。

Abstract: This invention relates to a functional fluid, comprising (A) from 70 to 90, preferably 75 - 87 wt.-% of alkoxy glycol according to formula (I) CH3 – O – (CH2 – CH2 – O)n –H wherein n is a number from 2 to 5, with the proviso that in at least 30 wt.-% of all compounds according to formula (I) n is 3, and that 15 to 65 wt.-% of all compounds according to formula (I) have n = 4 or 5, and (B) less than 1.0 wt.-% of alkoxy glycol according to formula (II) R1 – O – (CH2 – CH2 – O)m – H wherein R1 is a C2 to C8 alkyl residue, m is a number from 2 to 6, (C) from 8 to 25, preferably 12 - 23 wt.-% of at least one compound according to formula (III) H – O - (CH2 – CH2 – O)k – H wherein k is a number of 2 or higher, with the proviso that in at least 80 wt.-% of all compounds according to formula (III) k is 2 or 3, (D) at least one additive, selected from the group consisting of corrosion inhibitors, alkalinity agents, aging protection agents, defoamers and lubricants, the lubricants being selected from the group consisting of propylene oxide containing alkylene oxide polymers that are optionally substituted with a C1 to C4 alkyl group, triglycerides, castor oil, ricinoleic acid, and ethoxylates of castor oil or ricinoleic acid, and mixtures thereof, the fluid comprising at most 3 wt.-% of an ester between boric acid and a glycol or alkylpolyglycol compound.

Abstract: A water-based lubricating grease composition includes at least 40 wt% water; a salt-based thickener; a polymer-based thickener; and optionally, an inorganic solid- based thickener. A process for preparing the water-based lubricating grease composition may include blending a suitable amount of water with a salt-based thickener to provide a thickened water-based grease, wherein the salt-based thickener is obtained from contacting a base with a fat; and adding a polymer-based thickener to the thickened water-based grease.
