Abstract:
Abstract:
Described herein is the application of centrifugal spinning to provide a polypropylene (PP) nanofiber environment for cell growth. PP nanofiber mats, formed by centrifugal spinning are treated with one or more antimicrobial agents. The treated PP material was shown to have a 10 reduced rate of rejection and promote cell growth and proliferation.
Abstract:
Abstract:
The invention relates to a fiber comprising a blend of 10-50 wt% of a polymer blend modifier and 50-90 wt% of a propylene-based elastomer; 5-50 wt% of a propylene-modifier and 50-95 wt% of a propylene-based elastomer; and 5-35 wt% of a polymer blend modifier and 65-95 wt% of a propylene-modifier. The polymer blend modifier has a first propylene-based polymer and a different second propylene-based polymer that is a propylene homopolymer or a copolymer of propylene and ethylene and a C4 to C10 alpha-olefin. The propylene-modifier is a propylene homopolymer or a copolymer of propylene with 0.5-4 wt% ethylene or C4 to C10 alpha-olefins. The propylene-based elastomer is propylene and 5-25 wt% of one or more C2 to C4-C12 alpha-olefins and has a triad tacticity greater than 90% and a heat of fusion less than 75 J/g.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for producing a controlled rheology polypropylene characterised in that it comprises a step of mixing a propylene polymer with at least one organic low-reactivity peroxide. The polypropylene having the rheology according to the present invention can be used for producing fibres, in melt-blown processes, hot-melt adhesives, spun-bonded and injection-moulded articles.
Abstract:
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a fiber-reinforced composite (FR-C), an automotive article comprising the fiber-reinforced composite (FR-C) as well as the use of the fiber-reinforced composite (FR-C) for automotive articles and a process for the preparation of the fiber- reinforced composite (FR-C).
Abstract:
A process to produce improved polypropylene nonwovens or yarns by extruding a mixture of polypropylene(s) and beta nucleating agent(s), or in the alternative, certain clarifiers, to form the improved polypropylene filaments.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method of electrostatic spinning of polymer melt (4) at which prepared polymer melt (4) is supplied into electric field induced between a spinning electrode (3) and a collecting electrode (2), while before and/or during and/or after preparation of the polymer melt (4) 1% to 25% by weight of a conducting agent is added to the polymer, by which electrical conductivity of the polymer melt (4) is increased.
