In certain embodiments, the methods of the subject invention comprise substituting a chemical surfactant with a biological amphiphilic molecule in one or more steps involved in printing and/or dyeing that would traditionally utilize a chemical surfactant.

According to the invention,the paper (10) is formed from a furnish (6) which comprises pulp (1) including at least mechanical pulp (8), a wood based component (2) and a strength chemical (3), the wood based component (2) and strength chemical (3) are mixed for forming a wood based composition, and the furnish (6) is formed from the pulp comprising the wood based composition. Further, the invention relates to a corresponding paper and its use, a furnish and a wood based composition.
