A replaceable fluid container for an engine comprising: a reservoir for holding a fluid; a fluid coupling adapted to provide fluidic communication between the reservoir and a fluid circulation system of an engine; and a data provider arranged such that positioning the container to permit fluidic communication between the reservoir and the fluid circulation system of the engine arranges the data provider for data communication with an engine control device of the engine. There is also provided a method of facilitating control of an engine and an engine control system, apparatus and a vehicle.

The invention relates to a device for lubrication of a work vehicle, which device includes: a tank (1) for storage of lubricant; a number of delivery points (8a-g) at which lubricant is supplied to the tools of the work vehicle or other parts that need to be lubricated; a distribution block (5) including a number of branching points (6a-g) that all are connected to a delivery point (8a-g); a pump (2) for delivering lubricant from the tank (1) to the distribution block (5) and further on to the delivery points (8a-g); a control system (3), for regulating the supply of lubricant. Further the device includes: a detector (4) that detects when a volume of lubricant that corresponds to a pump cycle has been delivered from the pump and sends a signal with this information to the control system (3), a timer (11) that measures time intervals that corresponds to a certain duration of time and is adjusted to, for each time interval, send a signal to the control system (3) that indicates that a time interval has elapsed, wherein the control system by means of the signals from the detector (4) and the timer (11) regulates the pump to deliver a certain number of pump cycles per time interval to the delivery points (8a-g). Disclosed is an apparatus for warning of an oil exchange time using RPM of an engine. The apparatus comprises: an amplifier configured to amplify a voltage of a pulse waveform produced from a power supply according to revolution of an engine as a signal having a desired size; a comparator configured to compare the signal received from the amplifier with a reference voltage and convert the signal into a digital value; a counter configured to count RPM of an engine based on the signal outputted from the comparator and count the RPM of the engine accumulated until a reset operation is performed; and a display configured to display the oil exchange time using the RPM of the engine counted by the counter.
Abstract:
Disclosed is an internal combustion engine in an operating gear, comprising an oil reservoir (6) for holding oil in the area of a crankcase (10). An oil gauge (12) is used for detecting oil contained in the oil reservoir (6) and generating a corresponding signal which is evaluated in an evaluation unit (13) so as to generate a piece of oil level information. Preferably, said piece of oil level information is generated only when starting the internal combustion engine or for a certain period of time following starting of the internal combustion engine. Once the internal combustion engine has reached its operating speed, the oil level is no longer monitored.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren und eine Einrichtung zur Steuerung der Zufuhr von Schmiermittel zur Zylinderlauffläche (16) eines Kolbens (6) eines Hubkolbenmotors (2), insbesondere eines 2-Takt Hubkolbenmotors. Zur Verbesserung der Steuerung der zuzugebenden Menge des Schmiermittels beobachtet man einen elektrischen Stromdurchgang zwischen Zylinderwand (4) und Kolben (6) und reduziert die Menge der Schmiermittelzufuhr graduell solange bis Störsignale des Stromdurchganges das Abreissen des Schmiermittelfilmes an der Zylinderlauffläche (16) signalisieren, worauf man die Menge der Schmiermittelzufuhr auf einen Wert erhöht, bei dem das Störsignal verschwunden ist.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung zur Überprüfung der Funktionsfähigkeit eines Kurbelgehäuseentlüftungssystems (2) eines Verbrennungsmotors (1), welches zwischen einem Kurbelgehäuseausgang (4) eines Kurbelgehäuses (3) und einer jeweils zugehörigen Einleitstelle (5, 30) in einen Luftpfad des Verbrennungsmotors (1) eine Niedriglastentlüftungsleitung (20) und eine Hochlastentlüftungsleitung (7) aufweist, bei welchen mittels eines Kurbelgehäusedrucksensors (26) der im Kurbelgehäuse (3) herrschende Druck gemessen und mit einem unter Annahme eines fehlerfreien Kurbelgehäuseentlüftungssystems (2) modellierten Kurbelgehäusedruck verglichen wird und bei welchen aus dem Vergleichsergebnis Informationen über das Vorliegen eines Fehlers und eines zugehörigen Fehlerortes im Kurbelgehäuseentlüftungssystem (2) ermittelt werden.

The present disclosure relates to an engine system (1) for a vehicle (100), comprising, an internal combustion engine (10), a lubrication system (20) arranged to lubricate the internal combustion engine (10) and a first lubrication pump (21) arranged to supply lubricant to the lubrication system (20). The first lubrication pump (21) is configured to be powered by an auxiliary power source (40), wherein the lubrication system (20) is further arranged to supply lubricant to at least one auxiliary component (30, 31) of the engine system (1) which requires to be lubricated when in use, and wherein the lubrication system (20) comprises at least one valve (23, 25) for selectively shutting off lubricant supply to the at least one auxiliary component (30, 31). The present disclosure also relates to a vehicle (100), to a method for controlling lubricant supply to an auxiliary component (30, 31) and to a control unit (70).
