Abstract: An expansion anchor is provided, which is generally comprised of a drill rod, cone tip and anchor to create an undercut. In one embodiment, the drill rod is connected to the setting tool while in another embodiment, the cone tip is connected to the setting tool. In both instances, rotation of one or the other engenders a corresponding rotation from the anchor, which forces the cone tip upwards and into the anchor, which thus forces the anchor outwards and sets the expansion anchor. A sectional coloured threading is also provided to allow an operator to determine when the anchor is sufficiently set.

Abstract: An anchorage (10) for securing an object to a fixture and comprising a tapering body portion (12), thread means (16) extending around the body portion (12) and a region of weakness (30) part way along the body portion (12). The region of weakness (30) comprises a groove (30) or other suitable formation which enables the anchorage (10) to be selectively shortened. The anchorage (10) further comprises a central passage down which a series of ribs (37) is located. These ribs (37) enable the anchorage (10) to receive threads varying in size as a consequence of manufacturing tolerances. The anchorage (10) may also comprise securing formations (14) in the form of a secondary thread or other suitable formation(s) which facilitate secure location of the anchorage (10) in a fixture.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a system to optimally set an anchor and a bullet within a bore hole. The anchor is comprised of at least two cutters connected to and positioned below spreading lamellae of the anchor. The cutters are comprised of a wide edge and a narrow edge, the wide edge having a width that is wider than the circumference of the spreading lamellae to facilitate the setting of the anchor. A space is also initially provided between each of the cutters and the bullet to reduce friction of anchor on the bullet during expansion. During setting, the spreading lamellae of the anchor spread radially over the bullet to set the undercut anchor within the pre-drilled bore hole. In another embodiment, the anchor is comprised of at least two angular cutters having a taper of several degrees to facilitate cutting through the cementitious material of the bore hole.

Abstract: A metal anchoring fastener fastens millwork onto walls constructed with wall cladding fastened to steel studs. The load typical of a loaded cabinet is borne by the steel stud anchors owing to the mate between the profile of the steel stud anchor and the layers of millwork and wall cladding and steel stud that said anchor penetrates. The pitch of the thread adorning the profile of the steel stud anchor progresses non-linearly along the length of said shaft, the shaft is generally non-linear in profile, and the thread profile is non-uniform along the length of said shaft. The anchor can also support a secondary screw concentrically penetrating the void at the center of the anchor, in order to hang loads from a wall, with or without millwork. Predrilling of the holes can enable installation of these zinc anchors.

Abstract: An anchor bolt (100) is provided which includes a head (112), a drill portion (120), and an intermediate shank portion (110). The intermediate shank portion has a longitudinal cavity (142) formed therein for receiving a mounting set screw. An external thread (116) is formed on the shank portion for threading the anchor bolt into the wall. The shank portion is divided by a slit (122) into at least one portion (146) and the external thread on the shank portion is divided into a plurality of discrete thread segments by the slit. The drill portion has a cutting edge (136) and at least one flute (134) formed therein which also extends to a drill tip (124) and to a sharpened point (126). Abstract: An anchor bolt (100) is provided which includes a head (112), a drill portion (120), and an intermediate shank portion (110).
