摘要: Systems and methods for personalized treatment of tumors in accordance with embodiments of the invention are illustrated. One embodiment includes a method for determining prognosis for tumors, including obtaining a histological stain of a tumor, extracting a matrix ultrastructure of the tumor from the histological stain, obtaining an image of the tumor, where the image of the tumor is at sufficient resolution to demarcate individual cells, annotating each cell in the image with the respective cell type, determining cellular interactions between cells in the image based on the annotated cell types, providing the matrix ultrastructure and the cellular interactions to a prognosis model, obtaining an estimated survival time from the prognosis model.

摘要: This technology provides a liquid dispensing system with a liquid loading device that can be used to load small volumes of liquid by sliding over or under a surface-patterned substrate, or, alternately, moving the surface-patterned substrate over or under the liquid loading device. The surface-patterned substrate may be a substrate with patterned geometry or wettability. The liquid loading device spatially confines liquid against the surface-patterned substrate and delivers it to intended areas on the surface-patterned substrate. The liquid loading device accomplishes this by maintaining liquid in spatially confined sections, and moving relative to the substrate, by, for example, sliding over it to deposit liquid on the surface-patterned substrate. The liquid loading device utilizes geometry and/or wettability to achieve liquid confinement and delivery to intended areas on the surface-patterned substrate.

摘要: A system (200) for taking and analysing air samples is presented. The system includes an air sampling unit (210), a sample processing unit (220), an imaging unit (230), and a transport mechanism (240). The air sampling unit receives an air filter cartridge having an air filter and a slide, and to passes a volume of air through the air filter. The sample processing unit (220) applies a solvent onto the air filter to obtain a sample matrix on the slide. The imaging unit (230) obtains an image of the sample matrix. The transport mechanism (240) takes the air filter cartridge and moves it from one unit to another within the system. A processor processes the sample matrix image and calculates a concentration of contaminant particles. An air filter cartridge for use with the system is also presented.
