Abstract: Techniques are disclosed relating to securing computing devices during boot. In various embodiments, a secure circuit of a computing device generates for a public key pair and signs, using a private key of the public key pair, configuration settings for an operating system of the computing device. A bootloader of the computing device receives a certificate for the public key pair from a certificate authority and initiates a boot sequence to load the operating system. The boot sequence includes the bootloader verifying the signed configuration settings using a public key included in the certificate and the public key pair. In some embodiments, the secure circuit cryptographically protects the private key based on a passcode of a user, the passcode being usable by the user to authenticate to the computing device.

Abstract: A method, a computer program product, and a system for server provisioning and deployment. The method includes receiving a deployment configuration for a server. The deployment configuration includes a requested software build and a requested installation of an application and configuration for the server. The method also includes reconfiguring hardware on the server based on the deployment configuration and via an out-of-band management card on the server and pushing a boot loader on to the server for installation of an operating system. The method further includes performing an installation of the operating system on the server, transmitting an auto configuration file to the server. The auto configuration file provides installation properties relating to the application. The method also includes monitoring a status of the server during the installation of the application using a serial terminal output on the server.

Abstract: An automatic application configurator method. The method includes connecting a configurator program to a device installed with a first operating system; presenting a graphical user interface comprising a plurality of device details; initiating a configuration process; backing up the device to a backup file local to the configurator program; presenting a graphical user interface comprising a plurality of firmware versions; receiving a selection of a selected firmware version from the plurality of firmware versions; validating that the selected firmware version is available, and responsive to the selected firmware version not being available local to the configurator program, downloading the selected firmware version from an external system; updating the device to a second operating system without erasing any user data of the device; restoring the device using the backup file; supervise the device with an application; enrolling the application with a server; and restoring the device with the first operating system.

Abstract: A memory controller maintains a mapping of target ranges in system memory space interleaved two-ways across locations in a three-rank environment. For each range of the target ranges, the mapping comprises a two-way interleaving of the range across two ranks of the three-rank environment and offsets from base locations in the two ranks. At least one of the ranges has offsets that differ relative to each other. Such offsets allow the three ranks to be fully interleaved, two ways. An instruction to read data at a rank-agnostic location in the diverse-offset range causes the memory controller to map the rank-agnostic location to two interleaved locations offset different amounts from their respective base locations in their ranks. The controller may then affect the transfer of the data at the two interleaved locations.

Abstract: Features in a portable computing device ("PCD") may be selected for disabling by reading configuration information indicating one or more PCD features and corresponding state information. The state information may be written to one or more registers to provide a register with a state indicating that a PCD hardware feature corresponding to the register is either enabled or disabled. Each register may then be locked against a change of state. Each register may have an output coupled to an enabling signal input of a corresponding PCD hardware feature.
