摘要: An autonomous airspace system for urban air mobility monitors flight separation for compliance with a safe separation distance. A reference formation airspace is established for a reference air taxi based on minimum longitudinal, lateral and vertical parameters. When penetration of the reference formation airspace is detected, a penetration airspace is established based on a deformation of the reference formation airspace caused by the penetrating air taxis. A centroid of the penetration airspace is determined and a target separation to the centroid is supplied to the air taxi to reestablish safe separation. The extent of separation is also safely contained by the presence of virtual air taxis whose positions on the periphery of the penetrated airspace serve to limit potential penetration of surrounding air taxi air spaces.

The system includes a radio receiver configured to receive a radio signal that propagates from a remote transmitter through a portion of atmosphere to the aircraft. The system also includes an occultation processor configured to process the radio signal to determine a hazardous characteristic of the portion of the atmosphere through which the radio signal propagates. The system further includes an inertial navigation system (INS) configured to detect an intended flight path through the portion of the atmosphere and to provide a warning alarm in response to a determination of the intended flight path through the portion of the atmosphere comprising the determined hazardous characteristic.

摘要: A landing site selection system selects landing sites for unplanned landings for small aircraft. The landing site selection system may generate a landing site database comprising parameters for landing sites. The landing sites may be any location where an aircraft may potentially land. The landing site selection system may monitor aircraft conditions and determine that an unplanned landing may be desirable. The landing site selection system may select potential landing sites based on the aircraft conditions and the landing site parameters. The landing site selection system may display landing site parameters for the selected landing sites to a pilot to allow the pilot to select a landing site. The landing site selection may provide navigation instructions or autonomously navigate the aircraft to the landing site.

摘要: A UAV delivery control system is disclosed. Sensors detect operation parameters associated with the UAV as the UAV maneuvers along an airborne delivery route. A UAV operation controller monitors UAV route parameters as the UAV maneuvers along the airborne delivery route. The UAV route parameters are indicative as to a current environment of the airborne delivery route that the UAV is encountering. The UAV operation controller automatically adjusts the operation of the UAV to maintain the operation of the UAV within an operation threshold based on the operation parameters and the UAV route parameters. The operation threshold is the operation of the UAV that is maintained within an overall airborne operation radius of the UAV from a return destination thereby enabling the UAV to execute the delivery of the package along the airborne delivery route and to return to the return destination.

A fleet management computing system receives telemetry information from a plurality of UAVs. The fleet management computing system receives a selection of an initial group of UAV icons via the map interface, wherein the initial group of UAV icons includes two or more UAV icons. The fleet management computing system receives a de-selection of one or more UAV icons from the initial group of UAV icons to create a final selected group of UAV icons. The fleet management computing system transmits a command to UAVs associated with the UAV icons of the final selected group of UAV icons.

摘要: An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) or "drone" executes a neural network to assist with detecting and responding to attacks. The neural network may monitor, in real time, the data stream from a plurality of onboard sensors during navigation and may communicate with a high-altitude pseudosatellite ("HAPS") platform. For example, if the neural network detects a cyber-attack but determines that it does not interfere with external communications, it may shift navigation control of the drone to the HAPS.
