    Abstract: A battery pack assembly (100), the assembly (100) comprises: a plurality of cells (102a, 102b), each cell (102a, 102b) having a body portion extending between a first end having a first terminal and a second end having a second terminal, a first holding frame (101a) being configured to accommodate at least the first end of one or more of the plurality of cells (102a, 102b) and a second holding frame (101b) being configured to accommodate at least the second end of one or more of the plurality of cells (102a, 102b), an electrical control unit (103) configured to control the electrical output of the battery pack assembly (100), and a separator plate (104), wherein the separator plate (104) is located between the plurality of cells (102a, 102b) and the electrical control unit (103) and is secured to the first holding frame (101a) and the second holding frame (101b).

    Abstract: The system (100) comprises at least one sensors (116) corresponding to a parameter of interest. The system (100) further comprises a controller (102) connected to the at least one sensor (116). The controller (102) adapted to measure signals of the at least one sensor (116) based on a stimulation given to the battery pack (110) corresponding/ with respect to the at least one parameter, and generate the PUF identifier (112) based on measured outputs from each stimulation. The system (100) and method is provided for generating PUF identifier (112) for the battery pack (110) and for detecting originality of the battery pack (110). The present invention discloses the system (100) that is capable to generate "challenges" as PUF queries and analyze the responses to these challenges in finite time, and create PUF identifier (112). A method of operating the system (100) is also disclosed.

    Abstract: There is provided an aerosol generation device power system comprising a first battery cell (104-1) and a second battery cell (104-2) connectable in series, a switching means (501, 502, 503), and a controller (102). The controller controls the switching means to switch the power system from a first state to a second state in response to determining that one of the battery cells does not have a sufficient energy level to finish an aerosolisation session, and the other battery cell does. In the first state, both battery cells are configured to provide power to a heater component 108 in series. In the second state, one of the battery cells is connected to the heater component independently of the other, such that only the one of the battery cells that has a sufficient energy level to finish the aerosolisation session is configured to provide power to the heater component.
