The tray is restrained from rotation when the upper and lower index plates are in contact with one another. The tray may be disconnected from the support arm while the support arm remains clamped to an armrest. The armrest clamp includes a bevel gear driven in rotation by a clamping ring on the support arm. The bevel gear drives rack gear attached to a traveling clamp jaw. Rotating the clamping ring displaces the traveling clamp jaw relative to a stationary clamp jaw, enabling the armrest clamp to securely clamp to an armrest.

A method of constructing self-powered air-conditioner comprises a convergent divergent nozzle where powered fan pushes air into said nozzle. While the pushed air accelerates toward the nozzle throat it becomes colder as air internal energy transformed into kinetic energy. An axial turbine installed within the nozzle throat extracts energy from the air in the nozzle and drives an electrical generator that provides electricity to the fan electric motor. Alternatively the turbine and fan are installed on common shaft, which could be the electric generator shaft. The cold air within the nozzle throat cools the nozzle throat skin, which serves as air-conditioner core. The cold nozzle skin is wrapped with coiled pipes in which liquid flows, becomes colder and this cold liquid flows away to heat exchanger where air is flowing through it and becomes colder. This cold air is then flows into spaces needed to be air-conditioned.

User interface frameworks may provide an environment for developers to design and arrange user interface elements within a design layout to create a user interface. Many times UI elements comprise non-integer size values (e.g., height, width, position, etc.) due to text, user specified data, and/or centering, for example. Rendering UI elements at non-integer size values may create display artifacts because of sub-pixel rendering. Accordingly, as provided herein, a set of rules may be applied during design layout to non-integer size values to create integer size values (e.g., non-integer size values may be rounded to the nearest integer). Using integer size values in arranging UI elements within a design layout, allows undesirable display artifacts to be mitigated during rendering.

During at least one modular multiplication step aiming at computing a result c from two values a, b and the first modulus N so that c=a·b mod N, a processor takes as input the two values a, b and the first modulus N from which are obtained two operands a′, b′ and a second modulus N′ using operations with at most linear complexity—at least one of the two operands a′, b′ is different from the two values a, b, and the two operands a′, b′ are different when a is equal to b—so that the modular multiplication c=a·b mod N from a side-channel viewpoint behaves like a modular squaring except for when a′ equals b′ . An intermediate result c′=a′·b′ mod N′ is computed, and the result c is derived from the intermediate result c′ using an operation with at most linear complexity; and the result c is used in the modular exponentiation.

A method of acquiring data and performing calculations on the data using a provider service. A provider ticket service (PTS) receives tickets from one or more clients. Each ticket includes a calculation identifier and a payload. The calculation identifier identifies a calculation to be performed using information in the payload. The PTS associates a unique ticket identifier with each ticket. A ticket manager submits a selected ticket from the PTS to a provider host service (PHS), which determines which provider is to perform the calculation identified by the selected ticket by inspecting provider identification information in the selected ticket. The PHS launches a provider host thread (PHT) that invokes the provider determined to perform the calculation identified by the calculation identifier of the selected ticket. The provider performs the calculation and returns its result to the PHS, which passes the result back to the PTS, which returns the result to the requesting client.

A method of modeling initial temperatures of a dry DCT includes reactivating a controller after a time lapse between first and second clock times representing an offline period. The last known temperatures of a first component and a second component are read and a first temperature difference therebetween is calculated. The method calculates a stop time and a start time on a predefined exponential function from the calculated temperature difference. A first conductive heat transfer between the first and second components is calculated by integrating the predefined exponential function between the stop time and the start time. Based upon the calculated first conductive heat transfer, a first conductive temperature change between the first and second components is calculated. A starting temperature of the first component is calculated from first conductive temperature change, and a control action on the dry DCT is executed based upon the calculated starting temperature.
