摘要: Layered filtered cartridge systems with an End of Service Life Indicating system include a filter cartridge that includes filter media. The filter media includes a multi-layer construction, of a first sorbent layer, a second sorbent layer, and a sensing element adjacent to the first and second sorbent layers such that an indicating element of the sensing element is located at the interface between the first and second sorbent layers. The second sorbent layer has a higher adsorption capacity and/or higher adsorption rate than the first sorbent layer. The sensing element indicates the passage of an adsorption wavefront through the filter cartridge.

摘要: The invention relates to a filter cassette, during use intended to be oriented in a position for use. The filter cassette has at least two filter cells that contain a filter substance in their interiors. Positioned for use, the filter cassette has a larger height than width, and the filter cells have a larger width than height. The filter cells are delimited upwards and downwards by separating bars (1) that extend horizontally. The height of the heap of filter substance is therefore kept as low as possible, making the risk that the filter substance is being compressed low. An optimal degree of torsional rigidity is achieved as the filter cassette has a larger height than width. The filter cassette does in this fashion achieve an optimal resistance to external mechanical influences. Had the cassette been more yielding it would, when loaded, have changed shape to a larger extent and this would have given that the filter substance could sink together, but this effect is now minimized.

摘要: Includes gas adsorption device (1) in which gas adsorbent (3) is decompression-sealed by first package (4) with poor gas permeability, and second package (2) with poor gas permeability. Second package (2) is at least partially flexible. Air that is a gas that gas adsorbent (3) can adsorb is filled between gas adsorption device (1) and second package (2). In this configuration, gas adsorbent (3) adsorbs air when first package (4) is damaged, and thus a pressure inside second package (2) reduces. Due to this pressure reduction, the shape or dimension of second package (2) changes. Any damage to first package (4), i.e., any degradation in adsorption capacity of gas adsorption device (1), can thus be determined by confirming this change.
