This invention also relates to uses of the crystalline material of zeolitic nature for adsorption of fluid components, membrane separation of fluid components, storage of fluid components, and catalysis of various conversion reactions.

This invention provides a metal complex having a gas adsorption capability, a gas storing capability, and a gas separation capability. The present invention attained the above object by a metal complex comprising: a dicarboxylic acid compound (I) represented by the following General Formula (I),
wherein R 1 , R 2 R 3 and R 4 are as defined in the specification; at least one metal ion selected from ions of a metal belonging to Group 2 and Groups 7 to 12 of the periodic table; and an organic ligand capable of bidentate binding to the metal ion, the organic ligand belonging to the D ∞h point group, having a longitudinal length of not less than 8.0 Å and less than 16.0 Å, and having 2 to 7 heteroatoms.

A method and a device for air filtration, whereby air is drawn from the surroundings of a house (2) through air filter (3, 4) comprising at least a portion of the wall of the house and is blown out to the surroundings in cleaned condition. Air is drawn through at least two different parallel coupled filter units (3, 4), which are adapted to clean the air in a corresponding number of ways. Predetermined fractions of total drawn-in air passes through the respective different filter units (3, 4) and thus are subjected to corresponding cleaning by the different filter units being adjusted to each other with respect to pressure drop. The differently cleaned fractions are mixed (6) before exhaust (5).

This invention provides a new catalyst for purification of diesel engine exhaust gas comprising a carrier of at least one sulfur-resistant refractory oxide and at least one catalytic metal, wherein at least one solid acid and/or sulfuric acid is carried on the carrier by adding at least one precursor of said solid acid and/or sulfuric acid during the preparation of the carrier, and preparation thereof. The catalyst of this invention is thermally and chemically durable and can effectively remove particulate matters, hydrocarbons and nitrogen oxides contained in the diesel engine exhaust gas at low temperatures.
