The lens (50A) is configured for distribution of emitter light in off-axial direction across the open space (30) and passing through the opening (16) at an edge portion (25) that is off-centerline in the opposite lateral direction (33), thereby to widen the illumination angle (48) from the fixture (10) while having no more than minimal light directed onto the support member (20).
