Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for the hydrogenation of oligo- and/or polyesters which can be obtained by the esterification of a dicarboxylic acid solution with a diol or diol mixture, the hydrogenation being carried out in the presence of a catalyst, the precursor of said catalyst containing copper oxide, aluminum oxide and at least one oxide of lanthanum, iron, tungsten, molybdenum, titanium or zirconium. The invention also relates to a method for producing 1,6-hexanediol by the catalytic hydrogenation of ester mixtures which contain oligo- and polyesters of the adipic acid and 6-hydroxycaproic acid as the main components and which can be obtained by the esterification of a dicarboxylic acid solution with diols and especially 1,6-hexanediol or diol mixtures.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for producing an isocyanate, comprising hydrogenation of an amimne-ciontaining mixture (Gi) in the presence of a copper containing hydrogenation catalyst to give a mixture (Gii) containing the amine and reacting the mixture (Gii) with phosgene to give a mixture (Gii) containing the isocyanate. The invention further relates to the isocyanate which may be produced by said method.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for producing ε-caprolactone from 6-hydroxycapronic acid ester in the gaseous phase in the presence of active carbon as catalyst and subsequent distillation.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for producing a cyclic ketone that has 7 to 16 C atoms. Said method encompasses at least the following stages: (a) a composition (i) at least containing a cyclic alkene with 7 to 16 C atoms, including at least one C-C double bond, is oxidized by means of dinitrogen monoxide so as to obtain a composition (A); (b) composition (A) is treated with at least one base so as to obtain a composition (B); (c) composition (B) is hydrogenated in the presence of at least one catalyst so as to obtain a composition (C); (d) composition (C) is purified in at least the following steps: (di) composition (C) is thermally treated with at least one acid or at least one catalyst containing at least one transition metal; (dii) composition (C) is further purified by means of a process selected from the group comprising distillation, extraction, and crystallization.

Said method encompasses at least the following stages: (a) a composition (I) at least containing a cyclic olefin with 7 to 16 C atoms, including at least one C-C double bond, is oxidized by means of dinitrogen monoxide so as to obtain a composition (A); (b) composition (A) is treated with at least one base so as to obtain a composition (B).
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a process for separating solvents from solvent-containing hydrogenation product mixtures from a catalytic hydrogenation process, which mixtures contain a water-soluble hydrogenation product having an alcohol, lactone, ether, lactam or amino group in a solvent which is immiscible or not fully miscible with water and has a boiling point below 100°C, characterized in that water is added to the hydrogenation product mixture and the solvent-containing phase is separated off and recirculated to the hydrogenation.
