The invention relates to filtration apparatus (10) for filtering fluids comprising a top compartment (12), a filtration compartment (14) and a bottom compartment (16), wherein the filtration compartment (14) comprises a plurality of filtration elements (18) arranged in parallel, the filtration elements (18) further comprising at least one permeate collecting tube (30), wherein the permeate connecting tube (30) is in fluid communication with the top compartment (12) such that in filtration operation a continuous permeate flow into a permeate collecting chamber (34) of the top compartment (12) is provided and in backwash operation permeate collected in the permeate collecting chamber (34) is flushed back through the filtration elements (18). The invention further relates to a method for filtering fluids using the filtration apparatus (10) as well as the use of the filtration apparatus (10).

The invention relates to a method for purifying a composition (I) containing at least one cyclic ketone having 7 to 16 C atoms. The method encompasses the thermal treatment of the composition (I) with a catalyst containing at least one transition metal and the further purification by a method selected from the group consisting of destillation, extraction and crystallization. The invention also relates to a method for producing cyclododecanone, which includes a purification of this type, and to the use of at least one catalyst containing at least one transition metal for purifying a composition (I) containing at least one cyclic ketone having 7 to 16 C atoms by thermal treatment of the composition (I) with a catalyst that contains at least one transition metal.

The invention relates to a method for producing isocyanates by reacting primary amines with phosgene, and using isocyanate as the solvent. The inventive method is characterized in that a portion or the entire quantity of the isocyanate used as the solvent is only added to the reaction batch once the amine and the phosgene have been combined.
