Abstract:
The present invention provides a catalyst for producing a hydrocarbon from a syngas, including one of a cobalt metal and a combination of a cobalt metal and cobalt oxides; zirconium oxides; and a noble metal; supported by a catalyst support mainly composed of silica, wherein a content of impurities in the catalyst is less than or equal to 0.15 mass%; a producing method and regenerating method thereof; and a producing method of the hydrocarbon by using the catalyst.
Abstract:
The invention provides for a process for dewaxing a waxy hydrocarbon feedstock to form a lubricant oil. The invention is also directed to a catalyst system comprising a hydrotreating catalyst upstream of a dewaxing catalyst, used in the dewaxing of a waxy hydrocarbon feedstock to form a lubricant oil. In particular, the invention is directed to a process and catalyst system designed to maintain yield of lubricant oil product. Specifically, the yield of lubricant oil does not decrease more than 2%, at a target pour point, over a dewaxing temperature range. The hydrotreating catalyst helps prevent aging of the dewaxing catalyst and maintains lubricant oil product yield at a target pour point over a wide temperature range. The hydrotreating catalyst comprises platinum, palladium, or combinations thereof on a low acidity inorganic oxide support where acidity is measured by a decalin conversion of less than 10% at 700F.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a catalyst for the conversion of oxygenates to olefins, the catalyst containing one or more zeolites of an MFI-, MEL- and/or MWW-type structure and particles of one or more metal oxides, wherein the one or more zeolites of the MFI-, MEL- and/or MWW-type structure contain one or more alkaline earth metals, and the particles of the one or more metal oxides contain phosphorus, the phosphorus being at least partially present as an oxide, and the one or more alkaline earth metals being selected from the group consisting of Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba and combinations of two or more of these elements. The invention also relates to the production and use of said catalyst and to a method for the conversion of oxygenates to olefins using the catalyst.
Abstract:
A complex oxide that exhibits high redox ability even at low temperatures, has excellent heat resistance, and stably retains these characteristics even on repeated oxidation and reduction at high temperature; a method for producing the same; and an exhaust gas purification catalyst. The inventive complex oxide contains more than 0 but no more than 20 parts by mass of Si, calculated as SiO 2 , per total 100 parts by mass of rare earth metal elements including Ce, calculated as oxides; and has a characteristic such that when it is subjected to temperature-programmed reduction (TPR) measurement in a 10% hydrogen-90% argon atmosphere at from 50°C to 900°C with the temperature increasing at a rate of 10°C/min, followed by oxidation treatment at 500°C for 0.5 hours, and then temperature-programmed reduction measurement is performed again, its calculated reduction rate at and below 400°C is at least 1.5%.
Abstract:
A supported silver catalyst having a novel promoter combination for preparing alkylene oxides is provided. A process for producing the catalyst, the use of the catalyst for the oxidation of alkylenes to alkylene oxides, and a process for preparing ethylene oxide from ethylene in the presence of the catalyst are also provided.
Abstract:
A method of preparing a hydroprocessing catalyst that may have a high metals loading and has a particularly high activity for hydrodenitrogenation. The method uses several metal impregnations in combination with different intermediate treatment steps so as to provide a catalyst composition that includes a mix of different types of catalytically active sites. The method of the invention allows for the optimization and control of the relative ratio of the different types of active catalyst sites on the catalyst composition in order to give certain desired results and improved catalytic performance. The catalyst composition comprises a one or more active metals or active metal precursors that are incorporated onto a support material.
