Abstract:
An optical nanoantenna includes a single-crystalline silver (Ag) nanowire. The single-crystalline silver nanowire is configured to output an optical antenna radiation pattern based on incident lights. The optical antenna radiation pattern includes multilobe radiation patterns, and each multilobe radiation pattern has a plurality of lobes that are radially disposed centered on the single-crystalline silver nanowire. The incident lights are visible lights in entire visible wavelength bands. Accordingly, the optical nanoantenna according to example embodiments operates at multiple resonances in the full visible range.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for matching impedance of an antenna (110) by using Standing Wave Ratio (SWR) information is provided. While the impedance of the impedance matching unit (120) is controlled (160), a region of a Smith chart in which initial total impedance of the impedance matching unit (120) and the antenna (110) is located by using an SWR calculated by an SWR operation unit, and the impedance of the impedance matching unit (120) is controlled according to the determined region, thus correctly matching the impedance of the antenna.

Embodiments for providing a 2-diemsional (D) computerized-tomography (CT) image corresponding to a 2-D ultrasound image through image registration between 3-D ultrasound and CT images are disclosed. An imaging system 100 comprises a CT imaging unit 110, an ultrasound image forming unit 120, a storing unit 130, a processor 140 and a display unit 150. The processor 140 extracts the 2-D CT image from the 3-D ultrasound-CT registered image by performing a rigid-body transform upon the 3-D ultrasound image and calculating similarities between reference images and the 2-D ultrasound images, wherein the reference images arc obtained through the rigid-body transform.
Abstract:
A method and an apparatus for encoding multimedia contents, and a method and a system for applying multimedia contents are provided. The method for applying multimedia contents includes: storing an MAF file in a database, the MAF file including a header with location information that provides the location of media data, at least one single track with media data and metadata compatible with a predetermined standard, utilization data representing information for media application method; and browsing or sharing the MAF file stored in the database. The media metadata compatible with the predetermined standard is at least one of media player metadata and a media album metadata. Accordingly, even when the user does not have a specific application or a function for applying metadata, general-purpose multimedia content files can be effectively used by effectively browsing or sharing the multimedia content files.

A method and an apparatus for providing an intelligence-oriented service using context information estimation in a mobile terminal are provided. In the method, a correlation relation between a low level context variable and a high level context variable is registered. The low level context variable is obtained from at least one data stored in the mobile terminal. The high level context variable is generated using at least one low level context variable. The high level context variable is provided to an upper application.
