    摘要: The invention relates to an apparatus (1) for testing tyre compounds, which comprises a road drum (3) and a specimen (5), rotating about respective parallel axes (X, Y) and being in rolling contact with each other.
    The specimen (5) of rubber to be analysed is mounted at the end of a spindle operated by a motor (6): advantageously the spindle is housed inside a closed casing (63) so as not to be exposed to water or other agents during the tests.
    This results in an apparatus wherein the spindle driving the specimen may be supported by non-sealed and hence low-friction bearings, thereby not altering the results of the tests carried out.

    摘要: A process is disclosed for determining the lubricant power of lubricant oils for slip-controlled clutches. In a test container (14) designed as a double-walled, temperable vessel filled with test lubricant oil, two friction partners (6, 8) are rotated against each other under a test load in practical conditions. A coefficient of friction characteristic curve (27, 28) is determined depending on the sliding speed. If in a working range (26) a progressive characteristic curve is obtained, the lubricant oil is suitable for use in slip-controlled clutches. The device required to carry out the process has a relatively simple structure and requires only a small amount of test lubricant oil, and so the process and device can be used to test production charges, in lubricant oil development, during bench or field tests and to test ageing processes in a laboratory.
