Novel polypeptide4s, polynuecleotides encoding the polpeptids, and related compositions and methos are disclosed for zcytor19, a novel class II cytokine receptor. The polypeptides may be used within methods for detecting ligands that stimulate the proliferation and/or developement of hematopoietic, lymphoid and myeloid cells in vitro and in vivo. Ligand-binding receptor polpeptides can also be used to block ligand activity in vitro and in vivo. The polynucleotides encoding zcytor19, are located on chromosome 1p36.11, and can be used to identify a region of the genome associated with human disease states. The present invetion also includes methods, for producing the protein, uses therefor and antibodies thereto.

The present invention relates to zlmda24 polynucleotide and polypeptide molecules. Zlmda24 is a novel cytokine-like polypeptide with an anti-parallel alphahelical structure. The polypeptides may be used within methods for stimulating the proliferation and/or development of hematopoietic cells in vitro and in vivo. Moreover, zlmda24 polynucleotides, polypeptides and antibodies can be used as a diagnostic to detect the presence of human testis tissue.
