Abstract:
Provide a manufacturing method and a manufacturing device for a rubber strip capable of stably manufacturing a tape-like rubber strip of unvulcanized rubber. The rubber strip manufacturing device (1) for manufacturing a tape-like rubber strip (G2) made of unvulcanized rubber is characterized in including: a rubber extruder (3) comprising a rubber extruder main body (6) having a screw shaft (6c) for kneading and pushing the unvulcanized rubber toward an outlet opening (6d), and a gear pump (7) connected to the outlet opening (6d) of the rubber extruder main body (6) and rotary-driven by a first motor (M1); a calender head (4) comprising a pair of calender rollers (4a,4b) for rolling a shaped rubber body extruded from the rubber extruder (3) to obtain the rubber strip (G2); and a control unit (70) for controlling a second motor (M2) for rotary-driving the calender rollers in conjunction with the first motor (M1).
Abstract:
A method of making a fiber for use in association with an artificial turf system, as well as an artificial turf system having such a fiber. The fiber is made by extruding a fiber, fibrillating the fiber, and storing the fiber, wherein the fiber is not cut longitudinally between the step of extruding the fiber and storing the fiber. After being extruded the fiber may be folded and wrapped with a wrapping yarn.
Abstract:
The present invention provides to a system (1) for producing components of composite material, and especially elongate or continuous components of fibre-reinforced polymer. In this regard, the system (1) comprises: a winding mechanism (4) for winding an elongate sheet (3) of composite material about a winding axis (X) that is at an angle (β) to a perpendicular to a longitudinal axis (L) of the elongate sheet (3) so as to form a helical coil (5) of wound sheet (3); a mechanism for drawing or conveying the helical coil (5) of wound sheet (3) along a process path (P), wherein the process path (P) is preferably substantially parallel to the winding axis (X); and a shaping mechanism (10) for forming or shaping the coil (5) of wound sheet (3) as it is drawn or conveyed along the process path (P). In addition, the present invention provides a corresponding method of producing a composite component.
Abstract:
Propylene homopolymers having a melt flow index in the range from 3.0 dg/min to 8.0 dg/min can be particularly suited for high-tenacity fibers and yarns and nonwovens. The propylene homopolymers can be produced by a process that can include polymerizing propylene in presence of a Ziegler-Natta polymerization catalyst, an aluminum alkyl, hydrogen and an optional external donor.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a film with a low optical retardation and thus low stress birefringence which contains at least one layer containing at least one polycarbonate or co-polycarbonate and which, on account of its optical properties, is suitable for use in opto-electronic devices, e.g. in displays and touch panels, as well as to a process for the production of such films and to the use thereof.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an apparatus for the targeted deformation, in particular for the counterbending, of an extruded plastic profile in a wet calibration, characterized by an adjustment apparatus (50) for the targeted, spatial setting of at least one calibrating element (20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28) in a calibrating system, wherein a predetermined curvature can be applied to the extruded plastic profile (10) during the calibration by the at least one calibrating element (20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28). What is furthermore described is a corresponding process.
