摘要： A method of producing a printhead for an inkjet printer with a print engine controller for controlling the printhead operation, the method comprising the steps of: providing a printhead IC having an array of ink ejection nozzles formed on a substrate; providing circuitry for electrical connection to the print engine controller; providing a support member for supporting the printhead IC and the circuitry within the printer; providing a polymer film; securing the polymer film to a surface of the support member by applying heat and pressure for a predetermined time; mounting the printhead IC and the circuitry to the support member via the polymer film; and, electrically connecting the circuitry to the printhead IC.

摘要： An image forming apparatus enables the output of a high-quality image even when an expendable supply, such as ink, recording head, or recording sheet other than a specific expendable supply, such as one designated by a manufacturer, is used. The image forming apparatus includes a carriage for moving a recording head having plural recording nozzles in a horizontal scan direction. The recording head discharges ink onto a recording medium. A detection unit detects whether one or more expendable supplies required for image formation is a specific expendable supply. Upon detection of a non-specific expendable supply, a notifying unit notifies an operator and suggests that the image forming method be changed.

摘要： A resin composition which is suitable for producing a molding of a fine structure, reduced in molding shrinkage, satisfactory in mold shape transfer, and excellent in suitability for post-processing such as polishing and laser processing. It is a thermosetting resin composition comprising 95 to 35 wt.% thermosetting resin and 5 to 65 wt.% organic filler having a particle diameter of 10 νm or smaller. From this composition, an ink ejection device for ink-jet printers which has a fine structure, for example, a nozzle having a diameter of 30 νm, is integrally molded.

The metal material of the nozzle member has substantially the same composition as the metal material of the flow path member. The metal material of the nozzle member includes crystal particles having an average particle diameter which is less than that of the crystal particles included in the metal material of the flow path member.
