    摘要: A coating composition which is free from hexavalent chromium serving as binder and exhibits close adhesion equivalent to that of chromium phosphate primer even when baked at high temperature for a long time; and an amido resin composition improved in heat resistance. Specifically, a coating composition comprising (A) an amido-containing high molecular compound which either bears amido groups or is to bear amido groups and (B) an antioxidant which can inhibit the oxidation of the amido groups, characterized in that the amido-containing high molecular compound (A) is an amido polymer (a1) which bears amido groups and aromatic rings and/or an amido polymer precursor (a2) which can be converted into the amido polymer (a1) through baking in the application of the coating composition and that the amount of the antioxidant (B) is 0.1 to 20 % by mass based on the total amount of the components (A) and (B).

    摘要: A multi-component composite coating is provided which includes: (a) an elastomeric basecoat formed from a curable basecoat composition deposited upon a surface of a substrate; and (b) a topcoat applied over the basecoat, the topcoat being different from the basecoat and being formed from a curable topcoat composition comprising a polythioether material. The topcoat can have a higher tensile strength and percent elongation than the elastomeric basecoat such that when the composite coating is deformed, the basecoat can fracture before the topcoat to permit the topcoat to further deform while maintaining integrity of the topcoat. The composite coating is useful for inhibiting fuel leaks from an aerospace fuel storage container.

The resin coating material is formed of 100 parts by weight of a poly(arylene thioether-ketone), 0-400 parts by weight of a thermoplastic resin and/or thermosetting resin compatible with the poly(arylene thioether-ketone) and 0-150 parts by weight, per 100 pars by weight of the sum of the resin components, of at least one filler selected from fibrous fillers, inorganic fillers and metallic fillers. The poly(arylene thioether-ketone) contains predominant recurring units of the formula
    wherein the -CO- and -S- are in the para position to each other, and has a melting point, Tm of 310-380°C, a melt crystallization temperature, Tmc (420°C/10 min) of at least 210°C, a residual melt crystallization enthalpy, ΔHmc (420°C/10 min) of at least 10 J/g, and a reduced viscosity of 0.2-2 dℓ/g as determined by viscosity measurement at 25°C and a polymer concentration of 0.5 g/dℓ in 98 percent by weight sulfuric acid.

    摘要: A novel polymer alloy coating is provided consisting essentially of polyphenylene sulfide and an amount of polyimide. The polyimide is produced by the crosslinking and curing of an acetylene terminated aromatic polyimide oligomer resin. The amount of polyimide utilized is sufficient to enhance the adhesiveness of the polyphenylene sulfide to a metal substrate without substantially changing the melt flow properties, chemical resistance and thermal stability of the polyphenylene sulfide. A polymer alloy resin composition is also provided for application to the metal substrate to produce the polymer alloy coating. The novel polymer alloy coating is particularly suitable for coating pipes, particularly pipe couplings for oil and gas well production pipes which are exposed to extreme temperatures, pressures and corrosive environments.
