A lubricant composition for the resin-resin and the resin-metal sliding is characterised in that a perfluoropolyether oil is used as a base oil and that it contains 1-20 % by mass of melamine cyanurate with respect to the total composition.

[Means for solving] A water-based lubricant for plastic working, comprising a resin component containing a copolymer or homopolymer of monomers having an ethylenically unsaturated bond, including at least maleic anhydride (A), an inorganic component (B), and a solid lubricating component (C), wherein maleic anhydride moieties of the resin component (A) are blocked with a nitrogen-containing compound at a blocking ratio of 10 to 80%, and unblocked maleic anhydride moieties are neutralized with an alkaline component at a degree of neutralization of 40 to 100%.

An aqueous hydraulic fluid composition comprising of one or more lubricants such as a monovalent metal salt, ammonium, or amine salt of a dicarboxylic acid, such as a C21 dicarboxylic acid is described in which the aqueous hydraulic fluid composition demonstrates increased thermal stability when exposed to elevated temperatures for a prolonged period of time while being able to tolerate the presence of 10% v/v synthetic seawater. The aqueous hydraulic fluid composition contains less than about 20% by weight (preferably none or substantially none) of an oil selected from the group consisting of mineral oils, synthetic hydrocarbon oils, and mixtures thereof. The hydraulic fluid hereof preferably comprises a cyclical or ring base tertiary amine with no hydroxyl functionality such as 1, 4-dimethyl piperazine.

A solid lubricant to be embedded in a hole or groove formed in a sliding surface of the substrate of a sliding member, which comprises 5 to 30 vol % of a polyethylene resin, 20 to 60 vol % of a hydrocarbon based wax, and 10 to 60 vol % of melamine cyanurate. The solid lubricant exhibits sliding characteristics which are same as or superior to those of a lubricant containing lead, under a high load condition.

Novel molybdenum compounds are prepared by reacting a hindered amine with a molybdenum source, in the presence of one of (a) water, (b) a diol and water, and (c) the reaction product of a fatty oil and a multifunctional amine, and water. Lubricant compositions containing these new compounds are more stabilized against oxidation and have improved friction reducing properties. Synergy is observed when the novel compounds are combined with a diaryl amine in a lubricant composition.
