A refractory formulation containing an anhydrous solvent, an oleophilic rheology modifier and a refractory aggregate exhibits non-thermoplastic behavior, and remains plastic and formable at temperatures in the range of 10 degrees Celsius to 180 degrees Celsius. The oleophilic rheology modifier may effectively bind with the solvent to create a gel-like structure with organic solvents with moderate to high polarity. A phyllosilicate clay that has been treated with a quaternary fatty acid amine may be used as the oleophilic rheology modifier.

A swash plate type compressor is arranged with a plurality of semispherical shoes 4 and a disc shaped swash plate 2. A resin coating 12 having a honeycomb structure is formed on a surface 2A and a rear surface 2B (sliding surface) of the swatch plate 2 which slides with the shoe 4. An edge part 12B (top end) of each of the multiple cylinder bodies 12A which forms the resin coating layer 12 are at the same plane and forms a sliding surface which slides with the shoe 4. In addition, an interior space of each cylinder body 12A forms a storage part of a lubricant and a container part for foreign objects 15. The swash plate 2 can be provided with excellent wear resistance, seizure resistance and lubrication retention.

The present invention provide a two-component anti-seizure agent for hot metal working process comprising the first aqueous solution and the second aqueous solution, wherein the first aqueous solution contains 10~30 mass % of sodium silicate equivalent to anhydride to 100 mass % of total mass of the first aqueous solution, and the second aqueous solution contains at least one kind Selected from a group consisting of: an organic acid and water-soluble amine salts thereof, an inorganic acid and water-soluble amine salts thereof, a water-soluble amine, a water-soluble alcohol, and a water-soluble metal chloride. When the two-component anti-seizure agent is applied onto disk-roll type guide shoes, it can be provided and maintained on the circumferential surface of the disk-roll type guide shoes without washed away by rolls' cooling water. Thereby, the anti-seizure agent does not adhere to rolls and the rolls and a pipe material do not cause slippage each other. Thus, it is capable to carry out piercing-rolling of the pipe material.

The invention relates to the use of a super-slippery thin-layer film or coating for enhancing the lubrication capacity of a part to be subjected to great friction and wear. The film of the invention for improving the lubrication capacity of parts to be subjected to important friction and wear includes at least: a layer (3) of a hard material selected from titanium nitride (TiN), chromium nitride (CrN), titanium carbide (TiC), chromium carbide (CrC), tungsten carbide (W 2 C) and tungsten carbide-carbon composites (WC/C), alumina (AI 2 O 3 ), molybdenum sulphide (MoS 2 ), and materials of the hydrogenated amorphous carbon type (a: CH), the layer including on one surface thereof a series of dips and protrusions; and a layer (4) of an oleophilic material. The invention can particularly be used in the field of mechanics.

Abstract:
A composition and method for providing a wear-resistant and fuel-saving coating on metals, particularly metal surfaces within internal combustion engines. A source of ammonium ions, an alkali metal in an aqueous medium, and the coating metal to be applied to the surface are combined to produce an electrolyte solution comprising a complex ion mixture. The electrolyte solution can be used to deposit the coating metal on conductive substrates. The coating metal may comprise phosphorus, sulfur, carbon, bismuth, boron, silicon, and combinations thereof. The electrolyte solution can be dehydrated in a hydrocarbon medium, thus providing novel materials for use as lubricating oil additives and as fuel additives. These new surfaces may significantly reduce coefficient of friction, smooth the flame front, reduce corrosion, enhance fuel economy, and reduce hydrocarbon emissions when used in internal combustion engines.
