    摘要: The present disclosure relates, according to some embodiments, to compositions, apparatus, methods, and systems that may be used to produce polyols, for example, polyether polyols with a narrow range of molecular weights, with little if any unsaturated byproducts, in a sustained and/or continuous reaction, with efficient heat transfer, and/or at high production rates. For example, in some embodiments, teachings of the disclosure may be used to produce polyether polyols in a continuous loop flow process. A continuous loop flow process may be practiced such that heat is effectively transferred and/or product properties (e.g., range of molecular weights) are controllable. For example, a continuous loop flow process may use one or more continuous flow loops comprising a heat exchanger, a means to move material around each loop, inlets for catalyst, monomer, initiator or starter, and an outlet for polyol product.

    摘要: The instant invention is a pressure sensitive adhesive composition comprising an ultra-high solid polyurethane dispersion. The ultra-high solid polyurethane dispersion comprises (1) a first component comprising a first polyurethane prepolymer comprising the reaction product of a polyol and polyisocyanate, (2) a second component comprising a media phase selected from the group consisting of a second polyurethane prepolymer emulsion, a low solid content polyurethane dispersion, a seed latex, and combinations thereof; and (3) optionally a chain extender. The ultra-high solid polyurethane dispersion has at least a solid content of at least 60 percent by weight of solid content, based on the total weight of the ultra-high solid polyurethane dispersion, and a viscosity of less than 5000 cps at 20 rpm at 21° C. using spindle #4 with Brookfield viscometer.

    摘要: A device for storing and discharging heat that employs thermal energy storage materials (TESM) and related methods of manufacturing the device. The device includes a housing, an array of capsules within the housing, and TESM contained in the capsules. The device exhibits a high initial power density. The TESM is encapsulated between metal plies. The metal plies may have a thickness on the order of 10−1 to 102 μm. The capsules may have a thickness from 0.5 mm to 20 mm. The volume fraction of TESM in the housing may be 0.5 or more. The housing includes an inlet, an outlet, and one or more flow paths for flowing a heat transfer fluid through the housing. The flow paths and the capsules are arranged so that the device has the required average initial power density.
