An ophthalmic lens is disclosed which is suited for extended-wear periods of at least one day on the eye without a clinically significant amount of corneal swelling and without substantial wearer discomfort. The lens has a balance of oxygen permeability and ion or water permeability, with the ion or water permeability being sufficient to provide good on-eye movement, such that a good tear exchange occurs between the lens and the eye. A preferred lens is a copolymerization product of an oxyperm macromer and an ionoperm monomer. The invention encompasses extended wear contact lenses, which include a core having oxygen transmission and ion transmission pathways extending from the inner surface to the outer surface.

An ocular-lens material which comprises a copolymer obtained by polymerizing polymerizable ingredients consisting mainly of a polysiloxane macromonomer (A), a silicon-containing alkyl methacrylate (B), hydrophilic monomers (C) consisting of NVP (C-1) and other hydrophilic monomer (C-2), other monomer(s) (D), and low-molecular crosslinking monomers (E) consisting of a crosslinking monomer (E-1) having an acryloyl, vinyl, or allyl group and a methacryloyl group and a crosslinking monomer (E-2) having two or more methacryloyl groups by the casting method with heating and ultraviolet irradiation, wherein [(A)+(B)]/(C) (by weight) is 30/70 to 70/30, (A)/(B) is 25/75 to 75/25, (C-1)/(C-2) is 50/50 to 100/0, and (D) accounts for 0 to 20 wt.% of the polymerizable ingredients. The ocular-lens material has high permeability to oxygen and high mechanical strength. The surface of the material has excellent wettability by water and low-friction properties.

In order to provide a multilayer printed circuit board having a fine pitch circuit, the interlaminar insulating adhesive used therein must have heat resistance and low thermal expansion coefficient so that required accuracy can be obtained during circuit formation and mounting of components. Therefore, the present invention aims at providing a multilayer printed circuit board which uses an interlaminar insulating adhesive superior in heat resistance and low in thermal expansion coefficient and wherein the insulating adhesive layer has a small variation in thickness between circuit layers. That is, the present invention lies in an interlaminar insulating adhesive for multilayer printed circuit board containing the following components as essential components:
(a) a sulfur-containing thermoplastic resin having a weight-average molecular weight of 10 3 to 10 5 , (b) a sulfur-containing epoxy or phenoxy resin having a weight-average molecular weight of 10 3 to 10 5 , (c) a multifunctional epoxy resin having an epoxy equivalent of 500 or less, and (d) an epoxy-curing agent.
