    摘要: A supervisory system for a primary group digital transmission line wherein a terminal repeater (LTE0) transmits, over a supervisory line (L), address information designating an intermediate repeater (REP0,1,2,--) and line within the intermediate repeater to be monitored while the line is in a normal, in-service condition. The terminal repeater (LTE0) and intermediate repeaters (REP0,1,2,--) are cascaded connected by way of the supervisory line (L). The terminal repeater (LTE0) and each of the intermediate repeaters (REP0,1,2,--) include amplifiers (T₁,T₂--,R₁,R₂,--) that receive and send information along the transmission line, and have a monitor output. The monitor output is processed by an error monitor (EM) within the terminal repeater (LTE0) and in each of the intermediate repeaters (REP0,1,2,--) and the results of the error monitoring provided to the supervisory line in response to polling by the terminal repeater (LTE0).

This method comprises the steps of coding an orginal signal to be transmitted in terms of two kinds of error detecting codes at the transmitting terminal to send out them from the transmitter; detecting an error of a received signal using one of the two kinds of error detecting codes at each repeater thereby to measure the error rate occurred at one repeater section corresponding to each repeater; recording a decoded received signal using the error detecting code employed to detect the error, and delivering it to a subsequent repeater section; and transmitting signals each of which represents the error rate at each repeater section measured at each repeater, to the transmitting terminal or receiving terminal.

    摘要: Method of controlling a supervisory arrangement of a digital transmission system in which a plurality of repeaters are arranged between two terminal stations, a terminal station transmitting a call message which is provided with an address number towards the desired repeater.
