摘要： A document-processing machine includes a sheet-supplying apparatus (3, 5) for supplying a seriatim stream of sheets; an accumulator (9) for accumulating the stream of sheets into sets; a reader (7) for reading a mark on a document and decoding the mark to obtain information regarding the set to which the document belongs; a buffer (15) for storing accumulated sets; and apparatus for controlling a speed at which the sheet-supplying apparatus operates based upon the state of one or more variables affecting the speed at which downstream devices can process sheets. Such variables include, e.g., the number of accumulated sets in the buffer, the number of sheets in a set being processed, the form length of sheets within a set being processed, and the speed at which a downstream base insertion machine can receive sets.

摘要： In a starter (1), a plate (34) that turns with a pinion moving body (4) is disposed behind the pinion moving body (4). The plate (34) has a receiving part (34c) that engages with the lower extension (5b) of a rotation restricting member (5) for restricting the rotation of the pinion moving body (4) until a pinion gear (30) engages with a ring gear (29). In a power supply circuit for a starter motor (2), a first switch (53, 57) and a second switch (51, 55) are provided. The first switch turns on first to energize the starter motor (2). When the pinion gear (30) engages with the ring gear (29) thereafter, the second switch (51, 55) turns on to energize further the starter motor (2) by short-circuiting a resistor wire (56).

摘要： An improved method for applying multiple layers of coating compositions on a previously painted substrate by first applying a primer coating and then applying over the primer coating a top coating that matches the color of the painted substrate at less than complete hiding to achieve a color match of the top coating and the previously painted substrate; the improvement used is to apply a gray or white primer coating at complete hiding having a reflectance in its dried state essentially the same as the top coating measured at the wavelength of minimum absorption of the top coating.

Dabei sind die beiden Außenstege der Stoßseiten (10, 12) erfindungsgemäß zu schmalen, über die Steinhöhe reichenden Leisten (20) reduziert, zwischen denen taschenartige, über die gesamte Ziegelhöhe verlaufende Ausnehmungen (18) vorgesehen sind. Der erfindungsgemäße Hochlochziegel zeichnet sich dadurch aus, daß er bei guter mechansicher Stabilität und ausgezeichnetem Schalldämmvermögen hinsichtlich seiner Wärmedämmfähigkeit optimierbar ist.
