    摘要: We describe a PS4 variant polypeptide derivable from a parent polypeptide having non-maltogenic exoamylase activity, in which the PS4 variant polypeptide comprises an amino acid substitution at position 307 to lysine (K) or arginine (R), with reference to the position numbering of a Pseudomonαs sαcchαrophiliα exoamylase sequence shown as SEQ ID NO: 1.     摘要: The invention relates to an improved process for the production of a sugar alcohol from the corresponding sugar through catalytic hydrogenation. Especially, the invention relates to a process for reducing the interference of sugar-derived aldonic acids in the hydrogenation process by adjusting the hydrogenation conditions so that the activity of the catalyst is maintained. In one embodiment of the invention, the process of the invention is carried out by adjusting the hydrogenation temperature by starting the hydrogenation at a lower temperature and then gradually rising the temperature to the final hydrogenation temperature. In another embodiment of the invention, the process of the invention is carried out by adding small-molecular monocarboxylic acids to the hydrogenation solution.

    摘要: There is provided a process for the preparation of a compound having the formula

    wherein R 1 , R 2 and R 3 are independently selected from an acyl group or a hydrogen atom; wherein at least one of R 1 , R 2 and R 3 is an acyl group (a short acyl group) having from 2 to 6 carbon atoms or from 2 to 5 carbons; wherein at least one of R 1 , R 2 and R 3 is a branched chain acyl group (a long acyl group) consisting of a chain having 10 to 20 carbon atoms and a hydrophilic branch group wherein the hydrophilic branch group is an acyl group or a derivative thereof;
    the process comprising the steps of:
    (i) interesterification between glycerol and triglyceride compound having the formula

    wherein each of R 1 , R 2 and R 3 is a fatty acid group consisting of a chain having 10 to 20 carbon atoms, to provide a composition comprising glycerol, monoglyceride, diglyceride and/or triglyceride;
    (ii) optionally isolating the monoglyceride and/or diglyceride from the composition;
    (iii) acylating the monoglyceride and/or diglyceride or the composition containing the same.
