摘要: It has been discovered that a mechanical flotation system having only two cells can be nearly as efficient as one having more cells, yet provide an apparatus with a considerably smaller footprint, significantly reduced capital and operating costs, as well as be resistant to floating oil recovery platform wave effects. The dual-cell mechanical flotation system has, in sequential order, an inlet chamber (16) and two gasification chambers or cells (18,20), each with at least one gas ingestion and mixing mechanism (32), and a discharge chamber (24). A common primary skim collection channel (40) atop the partition diving the gasification chambers (18,20) efficiently channels away the bulk of the floating collected matter. At least one baffle depending from the top of the vessel near the primary skim collection (40) channel helps dampen the action of the fluid containing the suspended matter when the vessel is affected by wave motion against the floating oil production platform. A flow control valve (28) for controlling the liquid level in the gasification chambers (18,20) and/or a flow control valve (36) for controlling the liquid level in the discharge chamber (24).

摘要: System for treating sewage on board sea craft (11) comprising: a treatment tank (12) fed by a sewage transfer pump (14), a structural holding tank installed on board (27) containing the sewage to be treated, a sea water transfer pump (16), a metering pump (18) for a sterilising compound contained in a separated tank (29), a macerating and recirculation pump (19) with a three-way valve (21) and a pipe for discharge into the sea (23). To the treatment tank (12) are also associated at least two level sensors (24, 25, 26) and an electric control panel with liquid crystal display and touch keyboard, controlled by a microprocessor (28) for system operation and control.

摘要: The invention concerns a sea water desalination system comprising a reverse osmosis cell (12) containing a semi-permeable membrane for performing desalination of the water by passing sea water under pressure through the membrane, a pump (20) for forcing the pressurised sea water through said membrane and a mechanism driving the pump shaft comprising a direct current motor (22) and an alternating current motor (24), the two motors being mounted in position driving the pump shaft with a belt, and also comprising clutch means for preventing one of the motors from being driven in rotation while the other motor is activated and drives the pump shaft in rotation.
