    摘要: A low-temperature sinterable three-component system inorganic composition having low dielectric constant, comprising alumina, quartz glass and boro-silicate glass, each ingredient of the system being on each of lines which connects each of the following composition points in a three-component system composition diagram: (X=0, Y=0, Z=100) (X=45, Y=0, Z=55) (X=0, Y=45, Z=55) wherein X represents alumina, Y represents quartz glass and Z represents boro-silicate glass (weight % ratio) and X + Y + Z = 100, and being within the composition range which is defined by the three points. The composition can be sintered at a low temperature of not more than 1000°C and can be used as a multilayer ceramic substrate on which elements of an ultra high speed VLSI are mounted.

    摘要: An excellent heat-generating ceramics body for hyperthermia of cancers is provided, comprising ferromagnetic ferrite particles, and a bioactive inorganic material layer surrounding the ferrite particles. The inorganic material layer has a composi­tion to form apatite in a living body when embedded therein which has a high affinity to surrounding tissues of a living body and a property of not being perceived as a foreign material by the surrounding tissues by forming an apatite structure thereon, and the ferrite particles exhibits a highly efficient magnetic induction heat generation in an alternative magnetic field, without liberating noxious ions therefrom. The heat-­generating ceramics body is particularly useful for deep cancers like bone tumors, can be applied in various shapes of powder, shaped bulk form or fiber depending on administration means, and can be used continuously or for a long period without an adverse influence. Methods of producing the same are also provided.

    摘要: An impervious, soda-lime glass-based ceramic article having improved chemical resistance is disclosed. The impervious ceramic article of the present invention is prepared from a raw batch formulation including soda-­lime glass cullet, wollastonite, and clay. A raw batch formulation for making an impervious soda-lime glass-based ceramic article is also disclosed. In a preferred embodi­ment, the raw batch formulation includes from about 40 to about 80 weight percent soda-lime glass cullet; from about 5 to about 35 weight percent wollastonite; 0 to about 10 weight percent bentonite; from about 5 to about weight percent clay (the clay component not including bentonite); from about 0 to about 10 weight percent flint; and from about 0 to about 5 weight percent plasticizer.

    摘要: A composite ceramic sintered body is made from a ceramic matrix comprised mainly of silicon nitride, silicon oxynitride or an inorganic oxide selected from alumina, mullite, zirconia, high silica glass, lithium-aluminosilicate glass, magnesium-­aluminosilicate glass or barium-magnesium-alumino­silicate glass, containing both whiskers and particles of a material selected from silicon carbide, silicon nitride, silicon oxynitride, alumina and zirconia dispersed therein. The whiskers have a diameter of 0.1 to 5 µm and the particles have an average particle size of 5 to 60 µm. The composite ceramic sintered body is homogeneous and isotropic, and it has a high strength and high toughness at a high temperature and an excellent heat resistance and oxidation resistance.
