Abstract:
Disclosed are 1,8-naphthyl diaryloates, methods of making 1,8-naphthyl diaryloates, methods of using 1,8-naphthyl diaryloates, solid titanium catalyst components, catalyst systems containing solid titanium catalyst components, methods of making solid titanium catalyst components, and polymerization methods. The solid titanium catalyst components contain a 1,8-naphthyl diaryloate internal electron donor compound. The catalyst system can contain a solid titanium catalyst component, an organoaluminum compound, and an organosilicon compound.
Abstract:
In accordance with the present invention, there are provided modified forms of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSIADs). Modified NSIADs according to the invention provide a new class of anti-inflammatory agent which provides the therapeutic benefits of NSIADs while causing a much lower incidence of side-effects then typically observed with such agents
Abstract:
Novel methods and blends for controlling rheology and transition temperature of photocurable mesogens while maintaining low polymerization shrinkage and without adversely affecting mechanical strength and stability of the cured resins.
Abstract:
Methods and systems for the production of phthalic acid diesters are described herein. The methods and systems incorporate the novel use of a high shear device to promote dispersion and mixing of a phtalic acid derivative with alcohol. The high shear device may allow for lower reaction temperatures and pressures and may also reduce reaction time with existing catalysts.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a process for preparing 4-trifluoromethyl methoxyacetophenone comprising: (a) reacting the compound of Formula XIII with the compound of formula XIX to form the product of formula XX:
and (b) hydrolyzing the compound of formula XX to 4-trifluoromethyl methoxyacetophenone:
Abstract:
The present invention relates to novel compounds corresponding to the general formula (I) below: to compounds containing them, and to their use in pharmaceutical compositions intended for use in human or veterinary medicine, or alternatively in cosmetic compositions.
