摘要: A stent placement device and a stent placement method, despite a simple structure thereof, can surely and readily deploy a stent by placing a distal end thereof prior to a proximal end thereof, having favorably low invasiveness, and smoothly insert and arrange the stent into a desired position, without damaging an internal lumen inner wall. A placement device 1 for deploying a stent 2 in an internal lumen includes a guide wire 3 which guides said stent 2 into a desired position in the internal lumen, a proximal tip 4 which is fixed at an intermediate position of said guide wire 3 and provided with a stent anchoring portion for anchoring said stent 2, and a stent converging and retaining member 5 which converges and retains a stent proximal end opening portion 2a of said stent 2.

摘要: PROBLEMS TO BE SOLVED: A finger arterial elasticity measuring program, a finger arterial elasticity measuring device and a finger arterial elasticity measuring method are provided for making it possible to measure an elasticity index of a finger artery in accordance with a pulse wave of a finger artery without measuring a blood pressure in evaluating the elasticity of the finger artery related to the degree of arterial sclerosis in an easy and least expensive manner.
MEANS FOR SOLVING THE PROBLEMS: A computer functioning by a finger arterial elasticity measuring program includes a pulse wave data memory unit 42, a cuff pressure data memory unit 43, a normalized pulse volume (NPV) calculating unit 52 for dividing an amplitude (ΔI) of an alternate component of a pulse wave by an average value of direct components (I) to calculate NPV, a relative cuff pressure (P r ) calculating unit 53 for calculating a difference between a cuff pressure at the maximum amplitude of the pulse wave and each cuff pressure as P r , an FEI calculating unit 54 for calculating a linear regression slope (n) of the following expression (1) as an elasticity index of a finger artery: ln(NPV)=ln(bn)-n·P r ...(1) where b is a constant.

摘要: An astrocyte-specific drug carrier containing a retinoid derivative and/or a vitamin A analog as a constituent; a drug delivery method with the use of the same; a drug containing the same; and a therapeutic method with the use of the drug. By binding a drug carrier to a retinoid derivative such as vitamin A or a vitamin A analog or encapsulating the same in the drug carrier, a drug for therapeutic use can be delivered specifically to astrocytes. As a result, an astrocyte-related disease can be efficiently and effectively inhibited or prevented while minimizing side effects. As the drug inhibiting the activity or growth of astrocytes, for example, a siRNA against HSP47 which is a collagen-specific molecule chaperone may be encapsulated in the drug carrier. Thus, the secretion of type I to type IV collagens can be inhibited at the same time and, in its turn, fibrosis can be effectively inhibited.

摘要: An image diagnosis apparatus (100) includes an acquirer (152) to acquire a tomographic image including a region to be diagnosed of a subject and a drawer (153) to draw, based on a tomographic image acquired by the acquirer (152), a labeled image including the region to be diagnosed, the labeled image being partitioned according to classes indicating a lesion area, a normal tissue area, and a background area. The normal tissue area may be partitioned into a cavity area, a soft tissue area, and a bone area. The lesion area is a tumor area inside the brain, the tomographic image is an image of a cross section obtained by slicing the brain of the subject in the transverse plane direction at a plurality of points, and the drawer (153) may draw a labeled image corresponding to each tomographic image acquired by the acquirer (152).
